My self-summary
I've never had great luck with dating, and I'm self-aware enough to realize that my poor decision-making has screwed up the chances that I did have. Gotta get over myself.

What I do have going for me is that I am a good man with a big heart who is ready to let myself be happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Started a new job, got a great new apartment, and trying to actually get out there despite being an introvert.
I’m really good at
words, typing, grammar, context, and syntax. I am an ace reader and rarely go anywhere without a book.

I have a great understanding of games, as long as they're not reflex-based (I am clumsy!). I can suggest the hell out of shows for your Netflix or Hulu queue in the sci-fi and fantasy genres.
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently it's my glasses, because I'm told that I look very different depending on if I'm wearing them or my contacts.

I'm a big guy but I like to think I'm not intimidating. The second thing that people notice about me is that I have a degree in English and try to be at least moderately grammatical.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: I cancelled my cable, so I have been watching a lot of Netflix & Hulu. Penny Dreadful, Orange is the New Black, and Vikings all made the list recently.

Books: I just started reading the classic penny dreadful Varney the Vampire. It's interesting!

Food: I probably eat too much at Chipotle and the Uptown Diner. Love the Caspian Bistro.
The six things I could never do without
1. My new car. How did I get around in the winter before heated seats and all-wheel drive?
2. An occasional rum & coke.
3. Playing games with friends.
4. My dumb little $100 Android is glued to my hand.
5. Chipotle.
6. A good book, or even just a fun book.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
politics. I'm a cis white male with privilege, but many of my friends and family aren't so lucky. We need to do better, be more inclusive.
On a typical Friday night I am
Wait, I can go out on Fridays? I guess I can, now. I should figure out something to do on Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I actually am not allowed to say what my job is on social media.
You should message me if
You don't just want a ride. I'm not a chauffeur!

"LOL" isn't in your texting vocabulary. If that is the case, I already like you and we should talk!

You are a gamer and would like to chat games. I am getting a good laugh out of my Gamma World game right now and love to talk about it.

Ethnic origin, religion, gender identity... these things don't matter as much as open-mindedness and compassion.

I like to think that I'm not superficial, but I exercise at least a little bit every day and I would hope that someone I dated would also take care of herself, too.
