My self-summary
I grew up in Southern California. Moved here 10 years ago and might never leave. I love New York City and I believe in laughing in almost any situation.
What I’m doing with my life
Herding lawyers. And their minions.

Buying too many history nerd books and getting around to reading them (eventually).
I’m really good at
Telling stories, saying swears, opening bottles of wine, chopping garlic or onions. Making good conversation with stranger or old friends.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love finding a NEW favorite song. That is my real favorite. but recently listening to The Smiths, Kendrick, Speedy Ortiz & Richard Swift (thanks to spotify) and the new Radiohead stuff.

The Venture Brothers, Broad City, nerdy documentaries about algorithm or almost anything with David Attenborough.

I hadn't seen Casablanca until a few years ago, I thought it might be one of those movies that people love for nostalgic reasons... no it's brilliant. I liked the new Mad Max movie a lot. The new Star Wars movie... not so much.

My favorite book is East of Eden, Bill Bryson is great. Mix of non-fiction and fiction. Ta-Nehisi Coates. David Sedaris is hilarious. I will nerd the F out if you want to talk about Game of Thrones.

Sometimes good food is a grilled cheese sandwich. Sometimes it is at a fancy restaurant. Either way it needs to have good company and conversation... and probably wine. And definitely wine.
The six things I could never do without
Telling stories with my brother
Wine/whiskey
A proper bookshelf
Music
A smart woman
Saying swears
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mostly food things. Like, what is the recommended weekly minimum for burrito consumption? Is two really enough? Do I need to up my intake to three or four?
On a typical Friday night I am
The same thing we do every night. Try to take over the world!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My dad has called me Bones or Bonesy since the day I was born. I guess I was a really skinny baby, the name stuck. Some people hate their childhood nicknames. People still use mine and I like it.
You should message me if
You are genuinely funny and smart. You like to stay in and share a bottle of wine and watch some documentaries. You like to go out and eat a delicious meal. You enjoy cooking with a partner. You can play me some good music.

I like partnerships. I like banter. I want someone who will make me laugh and make me think.
