My self-summary
I've been teaching English in Korea for over five years, now in Daejeon. I'm from California and have been abroad teaching english and want to continue doing so for the time being. Eventually I want to move back home. I miss Southern California weather too much.

I love basketball, Star Wars, movies, reading, hiking, video games, and traveling. I plan on going to grad school for school psychology or possibly education. However, I'm always open for change with how my life goes. I consider myself to be really open-minded (pretty worthless statement to make though since who wouldn't think of themselves that way) and I always try to be considerate of people.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching English abroad, traveling, paying student loans (which screws up my travel plans often) and wondering about the next 5 years of my life. Considering grad school in school psycholgy and need to study for the GRE soon.
I’m really good at
Debating, running, being observant, being super logical (sometimes to a fault), wasting time online, playing basketball, running long distance, and quoting Dumb and Dumber.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure anymore.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Hyperion, Brave New World, 1984, The Name of the Rose, Fahrenheit 451, Star Wars: Heir to the Empire, almost anything by Sam Harris, Nothing to Envy, Going Clear.

Films: Star Wars Trilogy, Mulholland Drive, The Last Samurai, Good Will Hunting, Gladiator, Clerks, Dumb and Dumber, almost everything by Chris Nolan, The King of Kong, City of God, Her, LA Confidential, Man On Wire, Cinema Paradiso, Stray Dog, Bicycle Thieves, M, etc.

TV: Westworld, Better Call Saul, Arrested Development, Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Conan, The Simpsons (only seasons 2-8), Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, and Twin Peaks.

Music: Classical: mostly Romantic and Classical era, Jazz: Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Dizzie Gillespie, Dave Brubeck, Grant Green, etc. a little J-pop, 80s pop and rock, 90s rock, and a little bit of everything else.

Video games: FFVII, FFX, MGS series, Journey, To The Moon, Papers Please, The Last of Us, Arkham Asylum, etc. I used to play games a lot but these days I play shorter story-based games mostly.
Six things I could never do without
Some kind of books, movies, or video games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Korean culture, free will, time, what I should do with my life, what country to go to next

Should I go to grad school and go further into debt or just stay the course and get my loans paid off and live a simpler life?
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a beer with one of my best friends, staying in for the night and watching something, or getting out of town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a feminist but think the direction it's been heading is more regressive than progressive and promotes identity politics.
You should message me if
You're open minded, liberal but think for yourself and don't adhere to group-think, mature but don't take yourself too seriously, and you're not a hipster. And if you don't take too much stock in the nearly arbitrary match percentages. I also don't care about your Myers-Briggs classification. It's psuedoscientific nonsense.
