My self-summary
Let's see... Animation director, geek, Hallowe'en enthusiast, ghost aficionado, always likes the villains better, wishes he was a scientist but isn't because real science is harder than building a volcano out of paper mâché, that about covers it I think.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in cartoons, mostly animating and story boarding for TV shows, but also taking on stranger projects from time to time. In between I like to keep my hands in a bunch of different things for fun. I usually have a project being built in my living room. Sculpting, building props, special effects, costumes etc. I also do boring stuff like run and bike and swim, but that's dull as a bag of old toast to write about. Oh and I'm making a sincere attempt at using more gym equipment than just the treadmill and the pool. Baby steps en route to Full Conan... Hahaha.... haha.... yeah anyways...
I’m really good at
Hallowe'en, animating, and late night, whiskey-fueled conversation. Oh and I am pretty much the unofficial world champion at underwater tag. If you can catch me it's either because you trained with the same secretive sect of underwater tag ninjas that I did or because I let you. That's the sound of a gauntlet hitting the floor.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm tall and my hair is usually slightly mad. If the weather is agreeable I am often wearing a suit and tie.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love any movie with Vincent Price. Big fan of horror movies and 80's action stuff. If it's campy, I'm in.

Musically... I'm pretty eclectic. It ranges from ambient to rock to jazz to Broadway and on and on. Depends on my mood.

As for TV/Radio I watch and listen a lot of BBC panel shows. GoT, Penny Dreadful (RIP) as well.

Reading I do less than I'd like to but I'm looking forward to finishing off The Gentlemen Bastards Sequence and a Joe Abercrombie book that a friend loaned me.
The six things I could never do without
Skipping the boring and obvious ones like family and friends...

My computer (internet and cintiq inclusive).
My art box.
My Trunk of Unfinished Things.
A cool bed to sleep in. Cool like temperature not cool like racecar.
Great conversation.
The Galloping Gentleman.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All the things I'm passionate about. Hallowe'en, animation, art, storytelling, films, magic, horror and things I want to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Oh god who knows. Drinking? Playing board games? Drinking and playing board games? Performing? Seeing a show? What's a typical Friday? Never clubbing though. I avoid clubs like sensible people avoid plague pits.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm that person that likes oatmeal raisin cookies. Every time you think you're eating a chocolate chip cookie and go "blecch! Raisins! Who the hell likes these?" it's me. And I get a strange pleasure from knowing that my raisins ruined your cookie experience. I am not at all certain why.
You should message me if
You darn well feel like it. And if you think sock garters are hot.
