I'm college educated, and outgoing with a great personality and a sense of humor. I love to make people laugh. I'm not a brain surgeon but I fit comfortably into any social situation and can carry on a conversation with literally anyone (brain surgeons, rock stars, and world renowned leaders included... trust me!)! I enjoy good conversation and visiting with interesting people.
I'm comfortable in a tux or jeans, whatever the occasion calls for, and I like to dress up once in a while. I'm an intelligent guy with depth who's smart enough to know what I don't know and secure enough to admit it.
I am NOT romantically impaired and have no difficulty holding hands in public. I can be serious, silly or even sexy depending on our mood. I am far from "Joe Average." I love to travel, especially along the road less travelled (Route 66!) and there's still a lot I'd like to see and experience.
I have a strong will toward fun and excitement. I can be spontaneous but also am able to relax and spend a quiet night alone or with someone special. I am balanced between stability and an occasional walk on the wild side.
I am simple, yet complex. Fun compassionate and affectionate.
Savoring the simple things.
I volunteer and work for a great military-related cause.
Helping my kids the best I can, preparing that legacy I'll leave behind and along the way for life straight ahead!
Enjoying and savoring all good things, especially food.
Patience, forgiveness and long-suffering.
Making people laugh.
Being a creative romantic.
Kissing... for sure!
And many other things that are worth the waiting for.
I've been told more than once I look a bit like Robert De Niro. (Could be worse!)
I really enjoy going to the movies. It’s an escape from the realities of life and an opportunity to forget one’s problems. (I could hang out in a theater all day and on occasion actually have!)
Among my favorite movies -- those I can see again and again are -- It’s a Wonderful Life, Patton, Forrest Gump, The King's Speech, The Shawshank Redemption, How Green Was My Valley, Cinderella Man, We Were Soldiers, When Harry Met Sally, Waking Ned Devine, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Pride of the Yankees, Pulp Fiction, My Dog Skip, Legends of the Fall, Little Big Man, A River Runs Through It, You’ve Got Mail, The Stars Fell on Henrietta and yes ... I admit it ... Dumb & Dumber.
I grew up on the rock music of the 60’s and 70’s, but as I’ve “matured” I’ve grown to have an “eclectic” taste in music. I enjoy most everything ranging from Bocelli and Sinatra to The Doobie Brothers, Diana Krall to Delbert McClinton and everything in-between. (I know ... “Delbert Who?” Check him out!) It just depends on my mood at the time. Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues etc. etc. Bring it on! I absolutely love music!
Rarely will I read anything other than non-fiction, although lately I've wanted to expand my horizons. Real life’s as entertaining as anything one can make up! Here are some of the recent books I’ve read:
- Nearing Home: Life, Faith, and Finishing Well by Billy Graham
- Growing Up Amish: A Memoir by Ira Wagler
- SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper
- Onward: How Starbucks Fought for Its Life without Losing Its Soul by Howard Schultz
- North and South (North and South Trilogy Part One) by John Jakes
- The Perfect Thing: How the iPod Shuffles Commerce, Culture, and Coolness by Steven Levy
- Dutch: A Memoir of Ronald Reagan by Edmund Morris
- American Soldier by General Tommy Franks
- D-Day by Stephen E. Ambrose
- No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: by Doris Kearns Goodwin
- Truman by David McCullough
- Dogs Never Lie About Love by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson
Italian has always been my favorite, with Chinese and Thai close behind, and I occasionally love a good steak.
I definitely appreciate a good cook.

How'd they do that?
How not to waste my time and avoid the nonsensical
And finally, when will I ever get a round tuit?
Some examples would include eating out, going to the movies, relaxing having fun, visiting with family and friends. Listening to music -- live and otherwise -- and dancing the night away.
Getting out or staying in I can be content just to stay home and relax, watching a movie or listening to my massive music library, especially if it's with good company and good food.
The Friday night world is our oyster, even so Saturday night!
AND I used to be 6' 2" but lost an inch to gravity along the way. What's up with that??
Beyond all the questions I've already answered here (many quite personal and revealing) that's all I'm givin' up for the time being.
You want more? You'll have to coax it out of me with kisses, finesse, bribery and other such things.
Please be intelligent even a bit spunky as I'm not suited for social retards or those lacking personality.
You should message me if you are someone who appreciates slow dancing, a gentle touch and a slow hand.
In my relationships I've never been one to play games, I trust you are the same. A good woman has always brought out the best in me.
As for life and love, I have spent my days stringing and unstringing my instrument while the song I came to sing remains unsung.
If you like what you see and read I hope you'll contact me.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my profile!
