My self-summary
I'm wary of profiles. People come across as caricatures rather than rounded people - extremely bitchy, extremely amazing, extremely mundane, and so on. Some people just write nonsense and expect you to message them if you find it interesting. I'm going to go with that strategy, albeit with the hope of later stunning you with my wit and intelligence in actual conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going back to school full time.
I’m really good at
Jeez, I don't know how to answer this question. I could stay stuff like reading, eating, and sleeping, but that seems flippant. I wouldn't say I have any special skills, like playing guitar or painting unicorns. Hmm... I'm good at listening, I'd say, and writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I had to ask somebody this question and they answered, "Oh, probably your forelock." Here I was, hoping they'd say "your honed physique" or "your piercing insight into the human condition and knowledge of world affairs", and instead I get the hair over my eyes. Hmph!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MUSIC: I've bought few albums since I started itunes was invented. I still have all my old cd's, but now my collection is filled with songs pulled from all over. I prefer rock mostly, along with classical, electronica, and oldies. I avoid rap/hip hop and country. Some favorites: Peter Gabriel, Bird York, David Lee Roth, Hooverphonic, Barry Adamson, Doves, Jack Johnson, Everclear, Rolling Stones, Beth Orton, Crystal Method, Macy Gray, Pink Floyd, Police, Tenacious D, and 80's.

MOVIES: I like comedies the best. I like cartoons (like Pixar, but not so much anime). Stupid action flicks annoy me - as well as any movie that puts special fx over plot and characterization. I don't watch a whole lot of movies anymore, but that's mostly because I feel I don't have the time. Some favorites: Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine, As Good As It Gets, Airplane, Kung Fu Hustle, Superbad, The Incredibles, Office Space, High Fidelity, Fight Club, Leon the Professional, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Goonies, There's Something About Mary, What Dreams May Come, Aliens, Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python, Spirited Away, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, Run Lola Run, Raising Arizona, Roxanne, Sideways.
The six things I could never do without
Music and a good book?
Honestly, I've found I can go without pretty much everything. You find these things out when everything you own is destroyed in a disaster or when you have to travel really light :)

As for non-material things like friends and family, isn't that a given?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ooh, I spend too much thinking.

But if you looked at my web history, you'd see I think about science a lot (especially, biology, psychology, and sociology), religion (I'm not religious - maybe that's why I find it so interesting), language, and dirty jokes. Also, ninjas, history, cats, maps, current events, ethics, pirates, and that sort of stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out playing board games and drinking wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love yogurt.
You should message me if
you find my scant profile interesting? Or just because.
