My self-summary
I'm a pirate wizard fond of Heathenism, Taoism, and Hermeticism. Much more chill than all that makes me sound, but still.
What I’m doing with my life
Since finishing a class in the runes, I've begun making runic medallions to sell at festivals and on street corners. Slowly constructing a memory palace for the I Ching. I roam and hoodlum about with my little tribe (Bob Squad!), tresspassing and otherwise adventuring off the beaten track. Getting ready for that semi-nomadic life, fixing up a van.

I do Hermetic personal rituals near every day, although not always in the big formal way. It helps me to find my frame. I take frequent walks, keep up the house, tutor in math and science. I think a lot about a lot and sometimes share my thoughts, in writing or in person.
I’m really good at
Arm wrestling! :P No, really, not the most important thing, but still. Writing, which sometimes translates into speaking. Teaching. Arts in general. Singing. Keeping my perspective.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Hobbit, anything by HP Lovecraft, animal encyclopedias, the Power of Now, the Tao Te Ching.

Movies: Dagon. Up. If Up doesn't make you weepy, you are at least a little dead inside.

Music: Anything but twangy country, gangster rap and that sort of metal that's all screaming. I am particularly fond of 90s era metal/rock/grunge ("Glycerine" is a favorite), industrial, some cheesy '80s pop (love "King of Wishful Thinking"), and some southern rock.

Food: Japanese (particularly sushi or sashimi), Indian (lamb vindaloo is my favorite), Greek (lamb shank om nom nom), German from time to time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Making the most out of life, science, the nature of the universe and the self, books I'm writing. Planning my escape to a vagabond's life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking, going out on adventures (e.g. scrambling over abandoned train cars, otherwise trespassing/trailblazing, et cetera) with good friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Moon landing, 9/11, electric universe. Bit of a tin foil hatter.

Not at all an SJW, which puts me at odds with a lot of the Portland crowd but I don't much give a shit any more. I think openly about things and seek truth with little regard for what avenues are considered "acceptable". Actually, any identity politics you cling to, I consider an insult to our ineffable nature, and reason in general.
You should message me if
I'm looking to make connections and have adventures, and let relationships take their own form. As a relationship anarchist, I don't believe in trying to force them into pre-conceived ideas and expectations. Let's learn from each other, have fun, grow as people, whatever our future holds!
