I am an introverted extrovert. I like staying home and being with the people I care about (my boys), but I have fun when I do go out too. I am fast becoming addicted to World of Warcraft. I love to ski, but I haven't been able to go since I was eighteen. *Sigh*
I am a Navy brat (Go Navy!!!) and spent the first 9 years of my life in Italy. I love to travel. One of these days I plan to visit some of the countries I have always wanted to see, but didn't get a chance to. Topping that list would be England, Ireland, Scotland and France.
I like to open a cookbook and find something new to try. One of the joys in my life is cooking for the people I care about. I like making favorite meals and watching faces light up in anticipation. This has always been one of my small ways of letting friends know I care without saying a word.
I have found that I really enjoy canning. I love going to the farmer's market and buying fruits and veggies for this. I must be doing something right. I have friends and family placing orders for pickles when I make them again next summer.
I like the work of Edgar Allan Poe. The dark intensity of his poems and stories never fail to move me. Some personal favorites are "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee".
I also like "Animal Farm", "The Importance of Being Ernest" and "The Charge of the Light Brigade".
I love Linkin Park , Aerosmith, Queen, Puddle of Mudd, AC/DC, some Coldplay....this list would take too much space. I love music! And, yes, this list does include classical, opera and some folk music. That being said....most country tends to make my ears bleed.
I like a lot of different movies. I love vampire/werewolf movies and most Tim Burton movies. I like anime. I watch more than my fair share of AZN and BBC. Some new favorite are Sweeney Todd and Pan's Labyrinth. I like the movies inspired by comics.
Note: Yes. I was a little Goth in my younger years. It seems that I still lean that way a little. ;)
I like classic cartoons...Still trying to find the third box set to complete my Thundercat collection. Then I will be working on Transformers for my oldest son. Yes, you can say it. I am a geek.
I like video and computer games. (Edited for people with their minds in the gutter!)
Update: In the past year, my boys and I have gone through some very serious heartache. As I tend to be a stress eater, this year has not been kind to my waist line. I am in the process of trying to turn this around. If you are a man that cannot see past the surface of a woman to see the person within, please do not message me.
Thanks in advance for reading this and respecting it. :)
