My self-summary
I'm a geek. I like to say that right up front. Though I'm not what a lot of people think of when they think geek... you see too many people confuse geek and dork/nerd. As a geek I enjoy things like computers, games, reading, etc. But, I also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, biking, etc. So, a geek - but not a cookie cutter one.

I like people who make me laugh, enjoy having a good time, and can communicate. Someone who can spend time outdoors, enjoy a good concerts, or watching a good movie.

I just relocated back to the area after living in Virginia for the last 16 years.

I am Gamer Geek, Fun, and my mom says special
What I’m doing with my life
I work with computers for a living. I have done everything from helpdesk to Network Admin. My last job was an analyst, which basically means I got paid to do math for a living. At the moment I am taking the summer off to spend time with my daughter and get to know the area again.

I'm currently also in school to finish my degree. (Well I was in VA and plan to enroll back into classes soon.)
I’m really good at
Playing games (not head ones!) - I enjoy board games, card games, miniature games, RPG's. I use to play a lot of video games and console games but you can see my other entires to know why that is the not the case anymore. When I am in the mood for a video game now I usually pick one I can play for about 15 to 30 minutes and put down easily. And yes, I do play Dance Dance Revolution, I have found it to be really good exersize that I don't mind doing.

Being sarcastic - If you can't deal with sarcasm then I am not the friend for you. If you can't laugh at yourself and handle people giving you a hard time you're not gonna make it far in life.
The first things people usually notice about me
Body - Eyes and lips are usually the two things people mention to me. Personality - my humor/wit or my sarcasm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Ready Player One If you are a geek and a child of the 80's it is a must read! Other than that - I enjoy a little sci fi but more history books. The last few books I have read - World Without End, The Android's Dream, the A Feast of Crows.

Movies - Dave and Lady Jane are my two favorite. I'm a big movie buff in general though, here's a small list of ones I like: Hot Fuzz, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Tomb Raider, Transformers, The Matrix, Meet the Feebles, Notting Hill, Ever After, G I Jane, The Count of Monte Cristo, Toby Tyler, Saved, Better than Chocolate, But I'm a Cheerleader, The Bourne Identity, Thank You For Smoking, Dune, Accepted, The Last Starfighter, The Truth about Cats and Dogs, TransAmerica, Soul Man, Most of the Star Trek Movies (except number 2, I know, I know its a lot of peoples favorites but I don't like it. The ear scene freaked me out as a kid and I've always remembered it. My favorite of the lot is probably First Contact.

Music - I like a wide variety, Killswitch Engage, Three Days Grace, The Connells, Craddle of Filth, Jim Croche, Korn, Garbage, Linkin Park, Poe, Disturbed, Sick Puppies, The Verve Pipe, The Gaskets, Weird Al, Enigma, The Goo Goo Dolls, Sevendust, Static X, Tool, REM, Green Day, Nirvana, The Cure, Violent Femmes, Mindless Self Indulgance,Elton John, Billy Joel, Staind, and tons more.
Six things I could never do without
1) Toothpaste - really, if you don't brush ya teeth whose gonna hang out with you, and whats life without friends?
2) Good Pillow - Its amazing how much better life can seem when you grab a good pillow and get comfy with it.
3) People to Laugh with
4) Transportation - I prefer a car but if I have to deal with the bus I will, I just can't image being stuck in one place and having to walk everywhere I want to go.

Sticking to 4 right now!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Places I would like to travel to, my friends and family, books, games, work, writing, naps, my dog, geocaching, and I'm sure a lot more things that are not coming to me right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with my husband and kids, doing homework, going to football games, enjoying sushi, playing poker, or anything else that sounds like fun.

Of Note - I use to be the type who stayed at home playing video games. I was sitting at my computer one night, doing a 'raid' in a computer game and realized I could be out with people but I had turned them down to play a game. I have not played that game since and honestly have probably only played games on a computer or console for a total of a couple hours in the last 9 months. I made a promise to myself that day... I would never turn down a good offer from friends again for a video game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I let my dog give me puppy kisses (licking my face)
You should message me if
You like to laugh, you can talk 'geeky', you enjoy games, you enjoy the out doors.

Or you just want to chat or are looking for a new friend. Can always use a new friend. :)
