My self-summary
Once asked to describe myself for a job interview I replied: I like my coffee black and my whiskey neat. I think that's still pretty accurate.

Washington is where my heart has always been, and it's great to have finally made the dream a reality. Still fairly new to the area and haven't gotten out too much, but I do enjoy a good adventure. Even more so if it's somewhat off the beaten path.

I was born and raised in northern California (Northern Bay Area), so cooler weather and cloud cover make me feel right at home. Regardless of the temperature you'll find me on a bike most days, and back packing around or finding a soccer game on my days off.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make the perfect wanton and learning how to play an instrument. Pursuing a career and enjoying the beauty that is Washington.
I’m really good at
Being slightly awkward and sarcastic. Not being taken seriously. Obscure trivia. Like in parts of California it's illegal to walk an elephant down the sidewalk.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm usually pretty quiet until I get to know someone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy reading, but a few that stand out: I Am the Messenger , The Book Thief, The Bell Jar, Millenium Trilogy, A Song of Ice and Fire, Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow.

Movies? What Dreams May Come, The Crow, Gladiator, Millenium Trilogy (both versions), Boondock Saints, Constant Gardner (also a good book), V for Vendetta, Pathology.

Shows -- Spring Awakening, Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera, and Rent to name a few. Local shows, Indy, Folk, etc.

Television -- Most BBC productions.. Sherlock, Dr. Who, MI-5, Firefly, BSG, Revenge, Law and Order.

Music -- Pretty much everything. Classical, Indy, Folk, Symphony Metal. Brahms to Decembrists to Fleet Foxes, Gregory and the Hawk, The Weepies, to Nightwish and Epica. It's all over the place.
The six things I could never do without
Kindle (necessary evil due to frequent travel)
A long bike ride
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's on the other side of a black hole? How much I missed rain. How Firefly could get cancelled. And why Penguins are so well dressed.
On a typical Friday night I am
The same thing we do every night, Pinky... Relax by a fire, reading a book. Either that or getting a drink with co-workers and friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can use a straight razor and know how to wear a bow tie. If I could meet anyone it would be Heath Ledger's Joker.
You should message me if
You have any questions, want to say hello, or fancy going to a show.

Also if you need an adventuring partner.
