"Sweet dreams are made of these:" fresh winter air, watching stars twinkle,...Hood Canal sparkles and winks wonders at me whenever I wander to work. (Yes, V for Vendetta is a favorite movie...alliteration always.)
I've been deemed a "Culture Vulture" on an online quiz about my adventurous travels. I seek art/science museums, outstanding architecture, and concerts with great skill. The occasional day at the beach is nice, I like the European style beaches the most... Although, I wouldn't mind going back to Costa Rica soon! My passport is current, hope yours is likewise.
I excel at my profession and meet challenges head on, but know the value of living a balanced life between work and play. Okay, who am I kidding, play is much more important in life...good thing, I thoroughly enjoy my "job" playing with art all afternoon!
I'm a fan of Rumi, rummy, road trips, raindrops on roses (couldn't help myself...) and responding to friends/strangers in need. Just getting back into hot yoga and it feels so good! I swim and enjoy canoeing...I have a small one, but don't have the means to get it to the water anymore-hence-I'm attracted to guys with pick-up trucks...who enjoy the water.
A generous heart awaits you, you=someone well-read, adventurous, has integrity, financially with it (but, "you don't have to be rich to rule my world"), kind-hearted, likes animals, is environmentally friendly, family orientated (no, I don't have children, but my family is very important) and hilarious.
Hanging out with my mom while my dad's out hunting with his buddies, and she has her TV turned up so loud that I am hearing every word of her program two rooms down...and probably need to mention that I wouldn't be very inclined to enjoy the likes of that O'Reilly guy or Fox News viewing with any potential long term partner.
Laughing about it...and always exploring.
David Bowie, Anne Lennox, Cream, Young Bloods, Neil Young, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Prince, Neil Simon, Cage the Elephant, Ry Cooder, Cake, the Cure and Rush reign. Philip Glass is a modern day genius, recently shook his hand! Saw Todd Rundgren at the Fillmore, the man is trippy! Love the blues, RnB and funky stuff. Just getting started in appreciating classical music. Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Supertramp go without saying...I'm just saying.
Sushi...once a month, that's the rule! Oysters, prawns, shrimp, salmon....you get the picture....sadly, this may soon pass because of Fukishima... green garlicky beans, brocolli, kale chips, popcorn, nuts and chocolate...the "Firecracker" kind with salt and poprocks in them....and Theo's "Coconut Curry."
Travel, native cultures, and anything about art are my books of choice. Ahab's Wife, Dandelion Wine, Poisonwood Bible, and 100 years of Solitude I enjoyed.
Movies-ones at SIFF...V for Vendetta, Fried Green Tomatoes, Little Miss Sunshine, Forks over Knives, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Whale Rider, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Harold and Maude, and Forrest Gump....and "Science fiction, double feature, Doctor X will build a creature, see androids fighting, Brad and Janet....."
TV...not so much...I'm amazed at the crap out there.
Whatever is on PNR or PBS...word choices in a new poem or words with friends, why there are people starving when we have the ability to feed the world, and why I didn't become a marine biologist so I could swim and scuba dive the rest of my life. (Scuba diving on my list for next summer, hopefully in Portugal.)
relaxing, I'm finally comfortable saying that...unless you have plane/concert tickets to share...
or want to go sailing...
or to a lecture, or play cards....or
not big on cooking, but gladly sing, dance and do dishes....
