My self-summary
How do you even attempt to self summarise yourself?

I'm an average guy trying his best to be charismatic and hoping that will drag him through life.

I'll also attempt to be funny on occasion.
What I’m doing with my life
Living it day to day at the moment, working a job, learning skills, trying to move up through the corporate grind while still enjoying myself.

Once I've got a bit of saving built up I plan to take a good chunk of time off to travel and make memories. I hoping to maybe climb a few mountains.
I’m really good at
Computers and and computer related things is definitely my strong point. Which does quite help in my career as a software engineer.

Secondly I'm quite good at picking up new skills. I consider myself a fair Jack of all trades and enjoy learning new things, though I rarely carry though learning those skills beyond an intermediate level. Though so far it's been incredibly useful to have a little skill in a wide range of disciplines as lots of things build off one another, allowing each new thing I learn to build off previous skills. As such I'm always keen to learn new skills.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall, loud and overly confident. I definitely subscribe to the notion that if you're unsure of yourself, fake it till you make it. The downside here is that this can come on a little heavy sometimes, so people have widely varying first impressions of me.

My sense of humour is another aspect of this. If you're easily offended or a proponent of political correctness then I apologise beforehand as I'm probably going horribly offend you the first time I attempt to crack wise.

I enjoy making the comments that other people think of but don't really want to say for one reason or another. That being said I never have any malicious intent, and everything I say is in the sake of humor or forthrightness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Ender's Game, Magician (Followed by everything else R. E. Fiest), Neverwhere, 1984, pretty much anything Fantasy or Sci-Fi

Movies Top 6: Scott Pilgrim, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Lord of War, Limitless, Jumper

(TV) Shows: Doctor who, Firefly, Stargate, pretty much all TV that isn't sitcoms or reality TV.

You can probably see a trend in my above tastes. I quite enjoy reading and watching tv and movies, and have quite a library under my belt. Though I tend towards Fantasy and Sci-Fi, I'm always looking for something new to tickle my fancy.

Music: I'm not a major music person, but I like Linken Park, Amberlin, and Dubstep. I also listen to Triple J's hottest 100 because it's a good range of random music that makes me feel like I'm listening to "good" music. Though most of my collection is just random stuff friends have recommended to me.

Food: I'm not a big foodie, but I do like to eat. Cheap but good takeout is the name of the game for me. That and chicken and rice in it's infinite varieties. I also have quite a savory tooth.
Six things I could never do without
1. A computer
2. The internet
3. Smart phone

With these three things I have a way to earn a living, entertain myself, keep in touch with friends. These are the bread and butter of my life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I get a lot of random idea to build or develop things, 99% of which don't pan out.

I don't really enjoy sitting around thinking of things random thoughts though. I much rather have my mind engaged somehow, and am such constantly read, watching or listening to something.
On a typical Friday night I am
I have a fairly wide spread friend group from Uni, so quite often there's something or another on, ranging from a house party, a birthday, or just a random get together.

When that's not happening I'll most likely spend the night at home, watching some TV or movies I've downloaded, reading a book, playing computer games if there's anything new out, or just surfing the net.

Most times I'd take a quiet night in over loud night out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm generally a really open guy. I'll tell you my life story within 5 minutes of meeting you if you wanted to hear it.

Anything that I consider 'private' you're probably only ever going to hear about in a context relevant situation.
You should message me if
1. You enjoy meeting people for the sheer sake of getting to know someone new and hopefully interesting.
2. You are ok with a non PC sense of humour
3. You are willing to pose a topic of conversation
