My self-summary
I treasure knowledge over wealth, which has freed me of the need of
storage space other than a healthy brain.

I freaked out my grade 4 teacher when I asked why we are alive. "Is
it just so that we can have kids, then they have kids, then they
have kids?" Her mouth dropped open. I learned what 'nonplussed'
looked like that day, but I can only remember her answer as being
unsatisfying. So I've been spending my life trying to find some
answers. So far the search has has shown me that the search itself
may be the best answer for me.

I like to talk to people on buses. I've become very social over the
years. Not sure I know how that happened, but I like it.

Mind, I've done some normal things too. Like work in a profession
from which I've retired and raised a couple of decent kids. I can
usually pass for normal.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend time honing my critical thinking skills and am a pro-science activist. I listen to podcasts when I paint. I love to paint. I paint a lot.

I never, ever, play mahjong online. Would I lie to you?

I visit with my grandkids, cook easy, healthy food that I make in big batches to freeze, go to lectures, skeptics in the pub, and ride a bike.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at embarrassing my children without even trying.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Science books and a good murder mystery. Trying to work up the courage to cancel my cable TV. Movies that make me think. Music to dance to. I like meat but don't eat as much of it as I have in the past.
Six things I could never do without
Mammalian snuggling and such, my relationships with others, stuff to learn about, my healthy brain, my hands and my eyes. I don't need mahjong.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Human nature, evolution, and morality without a god. I never, ever think about my next mahjong play.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I could have been a better mom.
