My self-summary
Hello! I'm Seth and I was just relocated to NYC from Dallas, Texas due to a promotion at where I work. I am very much looking forward to living in the city and meeting a bunch of new friends. I would describe myself as adventurous, inquisitive, fit, creative, and sincere. I am very goal driven and focused when at my job or working on my current extra goal but I prefer to be laid-back and to explore while having fun.

Traveling and exploring other cultures are two interests of mine that I would like to expand going foreword.

I love to try new things, be goofy, and improve myself when having fun.

In working, I go the extra mile and am a bit of an overachiever and am a strong believer in perpetual self-education.

I am a firm believer in staying fit, healthy, and active.

At heart I am a nerd and love technology and science but I am also from the hill country of Texas so I love fishing, camping, and rock climbing. Most of my family came from a ranch in the mountains of Oregon, so from visiting there I came to love skiing, hiking, and fishing.

I value these qualities first and foremost in others and myself:
- intelligence
-perpetual learner/improver
-wide and varied sense of humor
What I’m doing with my life
I work in product/data management and process reengineering at Citi. Previoualy being an entrepreneur, I am aiming to round out my start-up experience and college education with some big corporate America skills sets because being able to tinker and make gadgets doesn't get you all the way to being Tony Stark. Ideally, I would like a giant robot arm mounted from the ceiling in the kitchen to do my bidding...because who really likes doing the dishes and making sandwiches?

I have 7 years of start-up experience being an entrepreneur. I ran a couple small businesses and wish to return to that creative space some day.

It is also my dream to fly and build things that fly so I would like to get my pilots license, and hopefully a masters in mechanical engineering. From there I will try aeronautical engineering. My fall back is real estate development since I have 7 years of experience.(Yes, Flip that House was my life during high school and college.)
I’m really good at
Following through with what I say I am going to do.
Taking the initiative.
Finding the positive in most tough situations.
Connecting people.
Unicycling! (Because staying up should come with its own medal!)
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and positivity. That and I look like Macauley Culkin( that home alone kid) but I got the better grown-up looking genes.

The six things I could never do without
The Internet, my books/kindle, my laptop, my family, my alarm clock, and my close friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about how to discover what qualifies a passion versus an interest. A lot of things that I do and want to do are interesting but they don't remain engrossing in the long term. Is that normal? This is part of the motivation behind why I am open and like trying new things.

Also, I have always been a tinkerer but I have not ever fully brought one of these inventions to share with the general public due to various circumstances. I would like to see these ideas actually work.
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends, usually it is spent relaxing with a close friend. But sometimes it is going out with a group of friends to go to a movie, a concert, camping , or even a renaissance fair!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am terrible at following-up on email and come on a little too enthusiastic at times. Also I am MMORG player.
You should message me if
If you would like to have a friendship and then maybe relationship that centers around adventure, being active, trying new things, and sharing in all the wonderful differences that we and the world has to offer.
