My self-summary
I'm a man of many passions but a theme and drive runs through them. I refuse to define my success in life based on money and possessions. Its the self that I care about, who I am and what my actions say. I'm not saying money is evil, it is fun but it just doesn't drive me as Living, loving and growth matter more.
What I’m doing with my life
Going hiking and weekend explorations are always getting planned. I spend plenty of time gaming with old friends, going to conventions and green living expos, playing games with my son, watching awful movies, attend spiritual gatherings occasionally.

Currently my passion is to open a green cemetery. In the mean time I'm having fun helping people grow in their careers while mine moves forward as well.
I’m really good at
Making spiced potatoes for breakfast? Intuitive logic and pattern recognition? Cuddling on the couch during a movie? I am more intellectual than hands on but can handle minor electrical and plumbing replacements (Water heater etc) myself. So a somewhat handy smart guy? What a catch right?
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the beard or depending on the environment and mood my voice. The Saturday Morning voice was a sales legend back in the day...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many loves to pick a favorite but just finished Grave Matters, an interesting book on the funeral industry and rereading The Dragonbone Chair with my son. Also picked up a new but old (1904) copy of the complete works of Shakespeare. Been meaning to read the Tempest for a long time so I think that's next.

For movies I am very tolerant of some rotten stuff but enjoy anything with a new idea, independent horror is a favorite but I also love the old vintage experience at the Time theater in the summer. So some favorites recently? The Decent, Let the Right One In, Dazed and Confused, Dog Soldiers, Synecdoche New York

Music I am pretty flexible from Techno to Blues, not a lot of country or hip hop but sometimes even they strike a cord. I think in the car right now I have Jason Webley, Pantera, Flyleaf, CCR, Beyonce and a CD for a friends band Sunday Flood.

Food just a simple guy on a daily basis but I love Mexican, Thai, Indian and can always find something when we go out regardless of the place!
The six things I could never do without
Family and friends (including my dog)
Running (because then the pizza would make me fat?)
Compassion and Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This is the hardest question here. Far too much to say. I tend to be introspective and to ponder the big questions but can be lost in flights of fantasy just as often. The other day I worked through a plot line to rewrite the story behind Bladerunner using the reluctant undead on my way to work. The next I wrestled with the engineering behind a wind turbine idea I wanted to ask a friend about. See a bit of everything!
On a typical Friday night I am
Often I am attending the Time Theaters Fright Fest and then hanging out with family and friends at the firepit. It has been a summer tradition for the last few years and a lot of fun. I have my son 50/50 so might be kid friendly night. Need to finish the book binding project I started soon...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have any tattoos but I once had three put on with a tattoo gun using alcohol instead of ink? Ahh youth...
You should message me if
You have something interesting to say or something caught your eye. Yes it is quite possible to be just friends if that attraction or comfort is not there on either side. Thats why I listed friends, too many cool people I have yet to meet out there.

As to who I am attracted to well... physical attraction is as important as the spiritual and mental parts for me. It takes more than just one aspect to catch my interest, not just a pretty face.
