My self-summary
Moved to Cambridge August 2015.

I get involved in random conversations about basically anything, if I've heard of it, it's fair game - if I haven't, I'm up for being convinced of it's pros and cons and investigating further. I like talking as long as there's subject matter and complete randomless involved! randomness is fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a sysadmin (with programming on the side). A fair amount of DVD watching, and the occasional trip to the cinema.
I’m really good at
reading api documentation, disagreeing with people, being in the way, reading random stuff, being talked to about anything and everything.
The first things people usually notice about me
At least half the time it'll be the beard o' doom (well, it usually only gets to ~ 6 to 10 months growth, but that's a fair amount of hair!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
favourite books: The Wasp Factory (Iain Banks), Against a Dark Background (Iain M Banks), Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams), The Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant (Feed, Deadline, Blackout), the Jack Reacher series by Lee Childs, the Spider Shepherd series by Stephen Leather, the Joe Hunter series by Matt Hilton and The Night Watch series by Sergei Lukyanenko.

Favourite movies: Toy Story, Toy Story 2, A Bugs Life, The Incredibles, Cars (Can you see the Pixar theme there?) - then there's City Slickers, The origional (well, remastered) Starwars Trilogy, All Indiana Jones films, Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator, Lethal Weapon (1, 2, 3 and 4!), Die Hard (1, 2, 3 and 4.0).

Favourite music: Roll to Me (Del Amitri), Rock and Roll Lies (Razorlight), Skeletons of Society (Slayer), Head Like a Hole (Nine Inch Nails), Like Eating Glass (Bloc Party)

Favourite foods: lasagne, sausage and mash, toad in the hole, shepherds pie, roast beef, roast potatoes (Note: not all in the same sitting - that would be messy :)
Six things I could never do without
Air, Food, Water, Time, Laptop, Mobile.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The creation of life, whether animals have already been through the stages that we go through and come back out the other end more content and whether or not I'll get up in time for work in the morning!
On a typical Friday night I am
Somewhere, anywhere, home, cinema, pub - depends on what other people are doing!
You should message me if
You want to.
