A friend recently said that relationships at this time of life are a "meeting of integrities". We both know who we are and what we do and don't want, what we truly value. Hopefully it's a delightful process to explore and respect each others' integrity, given our full lives of experience behind us, and create something unique and beautiful where the two integrities come together.
I seek balance: between work and play, silliness and seriousness, activity and quietude, solitude and companionship. I'm good at finding balance!
In relationship I'm looking for a healthy balance of autonomy and togetherness, differentiation and communion. I'm ready to meet in the middle, delight in the intimacy there, invite lightheartedness as well as tenderheartedness. Willing to stick in there with the communication through the bumpiness of our human imperfectness, drawing on Non-Violent Communication as a helpful tool. Let's both bring our best wisdom to the table and make a feast!
I am a language person (a wordee although not always wordy), fluent in Spanish (translator by profession), fairly able in French and Portuguese, fascinated by cultural essences.
I am also an em-bodied woman: dancer, Pilates practitioner, yogini, sucker for a good snuggle or massage, health-conscious, fit, active and outdoorsy.
