I'm Black and 2nd generation Greek American. I'm extremely family orientated. Don't ask me where I want to eat because I don't know; otherwise, I'm pretty Type A and will put on my producer hat in any situation.
I generally (and genuinely) love women who can make decisions, are extremely independent, have life long friends, and can speak about their past with kindness and insight.
Did I mention laughing? Kissing.
Movies: I went to film school. I am somehow not a movie snob, but I can articulate what I love and hate about films. I'm attached to the medium, not its genres.
Shows: Mindy. Shonda. Comics. Issa.
Music: Can I dance to it? Can I write to it? Is it being performed in front of me? Does my niece like to sing it? I'll listen.
Books: I was born to a woman who turned the page of a book the way some people caress the face of a newborn. Recently finished: Yaa Gyasi's Homegoing and Rest in Power. Currently reading: Trevor Noah's Born A Crime.
