My self-summary
Whatever I do I do completely and with gusto. After a quick toe dip to check the temperature and confirmation that a dive will not cause permanent trauma I do a full and unabashed swan. I have spent the last decade or so rearing 3 wonderful human beings while endlessly exploring the nooks and crannies of Chicago. My goal is to be the finest amateur concierge in the city. It is a lofty goal but the path is an end in itself.
We are here for a moment. I want to laugh (a lot), cry (a little) and feel everything in between. I am very aware of world and local events and enjoy engaging in political and social dialogue. I am not anti small talk, I am just not very accomplished at it. In fact I try not to be anti anything until fully investigated.
What I’m doing with my life
I try to make my immediate world a little nicer by listening, caring and paying attention to fellow travelers. Sometimes I am looking through an overly optimistic lens and less often through a jaundiced one but I am always a good friend and willing to help uncondtionally without preparation.
I’m really good at
Seeing the complexity of an issue and still recognizing the lighter side
Making long term plans in a short amount of time
Following through
The first things people usually notice about me
That I am looking them in the eye

I am a big fan of radiomen Joe Frank and Harry Shearer. I need to thank an okcuidette for Steve Aylett; Lint is one of the funniest books I have ever read. Most recent reads include Zizek's Year of Dreaming Dangerously, Marable's Malcolm X, Zinn's People's History, Hedges and Sacco Days of Destruction Days of Revolt, and Tiger's Wife. All time fave is Infinite Jest- it took a year but I couldn't put it down.
I cook a lot and eat out a fair amount
Six things I could never do without

On a typical Friday night I am
making pizza
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
