My self-summary
Nola Transplant, but have lived here in spirit my whole life. Full of limitless energy an curiosity, I'm always down for an adventure or journey of some sort. Whether it's dancing in the quarter, bike riding in the park, or cocktails in the garden, love all the variety and culture this city has to offer.
What I’m doing with my life
Work for a local non profit rebuilding an renovating houses throughout the city. Soon I'm gonna start training for work as a Smoke jumper (jumping out of planes to fight wild fires), i.e. volunteer firefighter and courses at the redcross. Whenever not workin I'm usually with friends out grabbin dinner/drinks doin a lil dance, you know all that good stuff.
I’m really good at
Breaking the ice.
Making friends and having a great time

Cooking- Something that started as a fun thing I did with my Ma, but turned into a real passion. On top of my tried an true recipes, I love just walking into the kitchen having no clue what I'm gonna make until I look into the fridge.

Running- An I think bein black only has a little to do with it haha. Running is probably the biggest stress reliever in my life an I don't know how I ever lived before discovering it.

Dancing- an I think bein black has 100% to do with it haha. Seriously tho. The kids got some moves, an thank god I live in a city full of dancing an music on every corner
The first things people usually notice about me
Hmm, good question. Probably my high energy levels. Despite my laidback an easy goin nature I'm an extremely animated person. Communicate just as much with my body an motions as I do with my voice an words.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Way, way to many to books to list. Was definitely that kid who read the whole school booklist, plus the summer bookclub.
Music: Drake, old Pre-radio Wiz Khalifa, Usher, lil Wayne, Daft punk, Deadmaus, Girl Talk, Rick Ross, kid cudi, maroon 5, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Anything produced by Pharrell, Lauren Hill, The Beatles(of course), Bob Marley( Once again uh duhh of course), Adele, the King M.J. That's just off the top of my head I honestly have a pretty broad taste in music an at the least will give any genre/artist a listen. Lately found myself really gettin into rappers an artists like Wale, J Cole, the Weeknd. That chill lyrical style of music.
The six things I could never do without
Ok so for the sake of originality an my love of being different will say something other than God, Friends/family although those are ALL very Very important parts of my life an even foundations to who I am as a person.

1. Ambition- The ability to not only want more out of life, but having the drive and determination to push that extra mile an get it.
2. Laughter- Sometimes it really is the little things that keep you going.
4. My job(s)- Gotta pay the bills somehow
5. Music- Know it is kinda generic an a lot of people say it, but that's because it IS that awesome an it IS that universal. Like have you ever met anyone who didnt like music??
6. Sweat- When things get to crazy an hectic, nothin lke a good sweat to just clear the head an reset the systems
7. Friends/Family- Know I said I wouldn't mention it but had to give an extra shout to my motivation and inspiration for it all.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. The sun. The stars. The universe an its infinite Vastness. When will my owl ever get here? haha Idk honestly. The psych major in me wants to say "Let's not worry about me, and my thoughts. But please sit down and tell me about Your thoughts and how You feel."
On a typical Friday night I am
Is there such a thing as "typical" for a New Orleans Friday night? I like to be a leaf on the wild wind of the night. Going wherever the breeze takes me. Maybe I'll dance on the streets of Frenchman. Maybe Hi-Ho. Maybe i'll be on a midnight bike raid. Maybe I'll be at home watching Netflix. Probably not, but Maybe. Never know in Nola
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I kinda sorta hate online dating. I think there's so much more emotion, life, memories, energy, and just more space to a person than could ever be conveyed by few pictures and paragraphs. However I have a very active life, and I'm over all the random drunken people you meet at bars so here I am. I mean considering how many awesome, funny, cute, smart, and entertaining videos the Internet pumps out should be able to find a person who matches that right?
You should message me if
You enjoy Smiling and laughter.
Your about me says lookin for someone interesting
Even tho I've lived here for a year, an visited many times before that still feel like there's so much of the city I haven't explored. If you know of some cool hidden gem, or would interested in helping me find one
