My self-summary
Hello, Stranger! :D

Seems to me you've stumbled across the profile of a quirky artist with a dark sense of humor and a very strange, very strong love for slugs. Welcome! Please know that I will not hold back any of my weirdness, as I am searching for similarly weird people. I'm also prone to writing too much.

I love: *drawing, reading, exploring new places, expressing my inner child (come roll down a hill with me!), traveling, writing, climbing trees, hissing at onions, chasing quail, poking anemones, putting little parasols in my food, setting mummified gator feet on my coworkers' shoulders and measuring how loudly they scream, and a variety of other things.* c:

I like to think of myself as a genuinely nice person with a streak of horrible. I am absurdly friendly and I love making people happy, and at the same time I am not afraid to be a little ball of sass or let my terrible sense of humor take over. Despite my constant bouts of silliness, I love to have super deep conversations about anything and everything, and people with profound and inquisitive minds are extremely attractive to me.

INFP, for those who are interested.

I'm a bit of a nerd, so I'm always up for trying out a new anime or learning a new game. I adore pokemon and always will. Some of my friends are teaching me MTG so if you're a fan, I will play with you (Catacomb Slug is my spirit animal)~

And now, let's talk about you! Are you a creative soul who wants someone to draw with/write with/bounce ideas off of? Are you an adventurous type, someone who would enjoy rock climbing, hiking, camping, geocaching, or wandering off into the middle of nowhere? Or perhaps you're interested in building a pillow fort to watch a movie in after looking up a new recipe and attempting to master it (I'm an absolute failure at banana pudding and I regret nothing). Are you a fan of roller coasters in need of someone to scream with? Feel like having deep, philosophical conversations late into the night? Do you tend to fanboy/fangirl over your obsessions? Interested in exploring beaches in search of sea slugs? If most or all of these apply to you, then perhaps we should meet up!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a merchandise designer for a stationery company in San Francisco and loving every second of it. If you need to know anything about Adobe Illustrator, I can teach you ALL THE THINGS.

If I can write and illustrate a children's book or graphic novel and subsequently get it published in my lifetime, I will have achieved a 20-year-long goal of mine. If I weren't such a terrible procrastinator, this goal would probably have been met by now ...
I’m really good at
Drawing animals. Overusing emoticons when I'm typing. Massages. Making custom handmade pokemon cards. Finding everything amusing. Listening to people when they need a ranting pillow (hint: I am the ranting pillow). Setting up elaborate scavenger hunts for my friends. Procrastinating. Making terrible jokes involving the consumption of babies. Sneaking into fancy hotels to ride the windowed elevators up and down. I'm fairly good at juggling, too. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
"Woah, you're tall!"

"Is that your natural eye color?"
-this question is a lot more entertaining if I'm wearing red contacts-

I've also been told by a lot of random people that I look like Arwen and it pleases me to no end.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Fantasy is my favorite genre, but anything involving animals or tragedies is up there on my list, too. *Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, The Hunger Games, The Giver, Anne of Green Gables, The Book Thief, The Sight, Let's Pretend This Never Happened, anything David Sedaris writes, many many more*
I'm a huge fan of graphic novels as well. *Flight & Explorer anthologies, The Arrival, Koko Be Good, Drama, Anya's Ghost, Through the Woods, Amulet* If you have recommendations for webcomics, I'd love to hear them!

Movies: Chances are if I'm watching something, it's either animated or a horror movie. I'm biased against romantic comedies. *Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage, Garden State, Memoirs of a Geisha, Labyrinth, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Cabin in the Woods, Miyazaki films, Pixar movies, Zootopia, The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, Paranorman, Coraline, Tangled, How to Train your Dragon 1&2* I also find it amusing how two romantic comedies made it onto the list.

TV: Unhealthy amounts of cartoons, snippets of anime here and there, and shows with a dark twist. *The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Face Off, Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, FMA, .hack//SIGN, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Bob's Burgers, Teen Titans, ATLA & LOK, 90s shows*

Music: Dance, symphonic rock, electronic, folk, Celtic, KPop, etc. Violins and Celtic flutes are soul food. *Faun, Lindsey Stirling, Pentatonix, Bastille, Crooked Still, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Breaking Benjamin, Enya, Owl City, Sam Tsui, VIXX, the entire soundtrack to Ori and the Blind Forest, whatever I can get my hands on to nightcore*

Games: Current favorites include Ori and the Blind Forest, Oxenfree, Portal 1 & 2, Fran Bow, Goetia, Braid, Limbo, & The Walking Dead. I go broke during Steam sales and still have about 30 games I need to play.

Food: Cheese. Sour Cream. Whatever you can give me that I can put cheese and sour cream on. I also worked at Jamba Juice for two years and can make the most kickass smoothies.
Six things I could never do without
Besides the obvious friends and family ...

Prismacolor pencils and a sketchbook
The realm of fantasy
My personal paradise
Giant fluffy cats
Programs that let me speed up songs until they're virtually unrecognizable

*cheats and adds a 7th*
I spend a lot of time thinking about
*People actually think I'm an extrovert now I can't believe this is happening
*What constitutes as 'being an adult'?
*Gender norms are fun to break.
*Is it a good idea to dress up as No Face and silently stand in my roommate's doorway until he eventually notices and screams bloody murder? ...yes. Yes this is a good idea.
*Have I eaten too many skittles today?
*Why do people still think it's cool to leave the sticker on their hat? You look like an idiot.
*I wish I were an expert at poi.
*Is it possible that somewhere ... out there ... there is a cat that's cuter than mine? D:
*Why do I have that song from Brave Little Toaster where all the cars are dying stuck in my head?
*It would be really cool if I had a skywhale.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm feeling social, I might be off learning a new board game or playing the pokemon TCG with friends, or perhaps marathoning Are You Afraid of the Dark while drawing on my friends in Sharpie. If I'm alone, chances are I'm home doodling, cuddling my cat, watching Netflix, or a combination of all three.

I'm not big on the bar scene, so if you're someone who likes bar hopping/partying/getting drunk a lot, we probably wouldn't be the best match.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have trichotillomania.

I am also a little bit of a furry. Have I scared you off yet? :P
