My self-summary
I'm originally from Colorado but grew up around Madison. I've been back for a couple years now after moving around a bit, and I'm feeling like it's the right spot for me right now. I'm still getting to know the adult version of myself...

Musician, writer, outdoors enthusiast, breakfast burrito connoisseur
What I’m doing with my life
I'm recently back in school and loving it. Also navigating my own music and writing projects, with the occasional freelance venture. In the meantime I've recently re-committed to fitness and gotten into meditation/spirituality...Neither of which I necessarily saw coming, but it's made me happy.
I’m really good at
Finding legos in the dark with my feet. I also like to think I'm decent at playing guitar and writing, but yeah mainly the lego thing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Local Music. Neil Young in the fall and Tom Petty in the spring. I like songwriters who have something to say and can do so in a way that anyone could relate to. I prefer passionate music that sounds like it was made in a garage over anything polished and manufactured. Music is my whole world, but I still have no idea how I should respond to "what kind of music do you like?"
Gaslight Anthem, The Hussy, Pixies, Tame Impala, The Replacements, Pollinators, Big Star, Meat Puppets, Dinosaur Jr, Teenage Fanclub etc

Movies: Film Noir, Spaghetti Westerns, B-horror. Anything that's unapologetically over-the-top and/or tongue-in-cheek. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

Books: House of Leaves, Moby-Dick, and On the Road/Dharma Bums are the ones that most remain at some level of my consciousness. "Travelogue" type books always strike a chord with me.

Food: Yes please.
The six things I could never do without
Freedom/adventure
Family and friends
Music
Nature
Pretty girls
Good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The mountains, the ocean, the stars, and side two of Abbey Road
On a typical Friday night I am
I wish I could say enjoying live music somewhere or en route to my campsite for the weekend, but in reality I'm probably at work.
You should message me if
You'd like a new concert buddy and/or know of any great hiking trails around town!
