My self-summary
I have an strong desire to better understand the world around me. I am a daydreamer with hopes of making those dreams real someday, or at least write out those dreams in the form of a novel and make several billion dollars. That would be nice too.

I am eccentric, hopeless, and irrational
What I’m doing with my life
At work: hammering obstinate automation systems into submission.

At home: indulging in various creative outlets whether writing, building, or daydreaming.
I’m really good at
Making very wise sounding proclamations off the top of my head without meaning to. Making others laugh is another fun skill I try to utilize when possible.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I am not someone to run around with a fake smile and laugh simply to let others feel good about themselves. When I smile it's genuine! I also tend to attract notice for giving honest assessments regarding technical issues even if it means more work for me. Unfortunately not everyone wants honest opinions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books by Jack McDevitt, Brandon Sanderson

Movies such as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Star Wars, The Ring, Pixar, Disney's Marvel lineup, Hudson Hawk

Shows: Monty Python's Flying Circus, various anime, Doctor Who, Bruce Timm's DCAU, and Penguins of Madagascar

Games: Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and Assassin's Creed Series among many others.

Music: Solitary Experiments, SITD, Funker Vogt, Sirenia, Evanescence, Three Doors Down, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, and many more
Six things I could never do without
My mind (or lack of it, I am not really sure where I put it), something to learn, play time, love, friends, games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
trying to be objective about myself (an impossible task), the future, humanity, economics, geopolitics, history, various what-if scenarios, and philosophy for some reason
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with old friends and having fun.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm agnostic and a political centrist. Both are liable to get me burned at the stake in the wrong crowds. On the same day if I am feeling particularly obstinate.
You should message me if
A.) You know how to get in touch with reality and can give me the number.
B.) You actually think my profile is interesting.
C.) You wish to make a very impressive sounding statement without actually saying anything of real substance. But don't worry! The vast majority of humanity does this too, so we're in good company (I think).
The two of us
