My self-summary
Pierced, tattooed, beard sporting bar manager with a degree in Physics. After spending my 20's living and working Manchester's night life I've decided I need something more routine and have begun studying accountancy in my spare time with the hopes of a career change in the near future.
Bit of a geek, love pretty much anything sci-fi or fantasy; books, films, graphic novels, anime, I'll probably either want to nerd out about it with you or listen to you nerd out about something you love if I haven't seen it!
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm working as an assistant manager in a Tiki bar/pub in Manchester, essentially working unsociable hours for not enough pay. On the positive side it's a social job where I get to experience some really great nights and meet lots of interesting people.
I've also just finished a certificate in accountancy with the Open University. Waiting on my results and hoping to use it to transition to a job where I can enjoy my weekends instead of working them!
When I'm not working or socialising I'm usually at home messing about on or with my computer, currently investing (too many) hours in Fallout 4.
I’m really good at
Unintentionally scaring new members of staff (apparently!) I'm pretty handy in the kitchen, round the house and can probably fix your computer too!
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess my piercings, I have my septum pierced and stretched to 3mm and although I rarely have it on display I've had few startled comments by people who have realised they can see through my nose :). Even when it's hidden I still have three small tunnels of diminishing size tapering up my ears.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite authors : Robert Jordan, J.R.R.Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Isaac Asimov. Generally anything fantasy/sci-fi.

Movies : Brain Dead, Black Sheep, Planet Terror, Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, How To Train Your Dragon, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle (actually pretty much everything done by Studio Ghibli), Blade Runner, The Matrix, Dune, Tron. Again mostly fantasy/sci-fi. Also big fan of anime, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Naruto, Shingeki No Kyojin are a few favourites.

Music : Ska, Reggae, Rock, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Horror Punk, Jazz, Swing, Big Band, Electro swing, Glitch Hop. A few bands and artists would be Mad Caddies, Streetlight Manifesto, The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, NOFX, The Grit, HorrorPops, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Kings Of Nuthin', The Living End, Caravan Palace, Parov Stelar.

Food : I'll eat pretty much anything, the only things I don't particularly like are mushrooms, uncooked cheese, Ketchup and vinegar. Favorite foods probably Moussaka, Bolognaise or Stroganoff.
The six things I could never do without
Wow, I can't actually think of anything to put here that doesn't make me sound pretentious...
Erm.. family, friends, imagination, entertainment, food, computer?
...
yeah told ya.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I would survive should I be thrown into a post-apocalyptic world where society was all but wiped out. Not that there's any question as to whether I would survive, I'd totally survive.. just you know how I'd do it.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working usually at home watching a bit of the old YouTubes (If you sub to Vsauce, Scishow or the Brain Scoop I will probably want to marry you :3). Occasionally I go out and make a disgrace of myself at one of the many bars around Manchester (I refer you to the photo evidence).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I admire people willing to fill this bit out, really I do. I on the other hand have no such admirable tendencies.
You should message me if
We have stuff in common and you'd like to drag me to a gig or nerd out with me in a bar.
Also you don't mind potentially dating someone who works late nights (at least in the short term)
