My self-summary
My life is full of juxtaposition- I've been to 25 countries, yet never been to NYC. I've whipped up thanksgiving dinner in a village (including plucking my own turkey)... and love ordering room service. I'm equally down with underground hip hop and jazz shows at Birdland Social Club. I yearn to wear eyeglasses for stylistic reasons, but sadly have 20/20 vision.

Other things about me:

Camping in comfort, live music, the Y, Tuesday night Doc Night, fennel-raisin Firebrand bread, vintage Adidas, and vintage lace are some of the things that excite me these days.

Potential deal breakers about me:

I usually have some cat hair on my pants, I am not a hard core fixie bike rider chick and I probably spend too much money on craft supplies. I recently saw a meme that said: "Why pay $16 for an item when you can pay $96 in craft supplies and make it yourself?" This very much resonated with me.
What I’m doing with my life
I fill my life with work, play, exercise, self-love (yoga, massage, submerging myself in warm pools of water....ahhhh), making art and just simple relaxation. I'm a community organizer and an artist. Most of my jobs and projects have focused on improving communities through art and environmental education. Currently, my 10-6 consists of finding ways to support refugees as they transition into life in the US.

I love California, however, living and working in other cultures also satisfies my soul, so I do a lot of traveling....sometimes just short trips, other times I'll take root for awhile. I hope to find a partner that wants the same balance- between life in the US and exploring abroad.
