My self-summary
I've been in DC about six years now and this place and the work I get to do here have my whole heart. I'm now trying to make room in there for a partner or partners. I'm not interested in finding someone who wants to spend every waking moment together, but rather someone who has his own set of interests that will occasionally overlap with my own. I am ideally looking for something casual but would not fully panic if it turned into something more significant.

I've only recently started to really focus in on what I want in a partner:
- Open communication and brutal honesty (I promise to give the same.)
- Vanilla scented kink
- An understanding that sex, relationships, and their norms are sometimes hilarious

Also, I used to think I was funny before I tried to write about myself on a dating website and I promise that I don't start as many sentences with the word "I" in real life.
What I’m doing with my life
Planning things (even other people's vacations)
Sportsballing (kind of a nontraditional jock & workout junkie)
Debating (this can probably fall into the above category based on how I play it)
Cooking, Crosswording, Reading
Often my work (for a disability rights nonprofit) is also my hobby. If that sounds miserable to you, we probably won't get along.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a wheelchair user (aka a disabled person, not handicapped, handicapable, differently abled, special needs, etc). My disability isn't all there is to me, but it is an inseparable part of my identity and it's the reason behind my career choice. I'm incredibly happy and grateful for it and the opportunities it has presented me. You should be prepared for long tirades and debates about disability rights.

Inequality of opportunity

What kinds of adventures my kitty gets into while I'm away. She can't possibly be sleeping that whole time.
