My self-summary
I once read that there are only two things in life that matter: your purpose and the meaningful relationships you have. Those are two things I focus my efforts on, embracing the relationships in my life and making new connections with warm, kind, inspiring people, and figuring out how I can best give back to the world in a way that is fulfilling to me and meaningful to the cause i believe in.

I'm here to connect with people who also believe in those things.
What I’m doing with my life
I got my MS in nutrition last May, and for now I manage a home brew shop in Falls Church (i.e. I get paid to help people make their own beer and wine). I also read and write a lot.

I have a blog that I regularly update: http://www.dennisbuckley.net/ --

I also have a book recommendation email that I send out every month that you can check out: http://www.dennisbuckley.net/reading-list/
The first things people usually notice about me
My "Clark Kent" glasses, as people often refer to them as. I'll take it. He's no Batman, but he is made of steel after all.

Runner-up: my height. I'm a tall fella and this is a heel-friendly zone :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now my favorite book is Deep Work by Cal Newport. The book underscores the importance of deep focus, free of distraction and cultivating the ability to think and work deeply on things that are important to you.

One of my favorite movies is called Submarine; a film about teenage angst, love, fear, and a young boy's quest to become the best boyfriend ever. Great little movie I recommend to almost everybody. It's scored by Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys, if you're familiar with him/the band.

I'm really into health, fitness, and nutrition, so I eat healthy most of the time of the time, but I let my hair down and relax when I'm out with other people.

Balance is key.

Moderation in everything (especially moderation).
The six things I could never do without
Coffee
Smart folks to look up to
Books
Cities to wander
Growth/Connection
Failure/ Learning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can identify my best skills, develop them, and use them to help the world in some way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching a show at the Black Cat or 9:30 club, grabbing a beer with friends or coworkers, going on a date, hanging out with my lady, checking out cool meetups, and everything in between. Reading. Writing. Plotting.
You should message me if
You respect that I am in an open relationship and are looking for a meaningful connection.

You are intelligent. I know intelligence can intimidate guys, but not me. Intelligence is incredibly sexy and I can keep up.

I think there's a lot of life to live while we're young and I want to experience and learn as much as I can.

If that sounds like you too, I would love to connect.
