My self-summary
I'm an open book, but I'd like to get into a conversation about myself with someone that's curious rather than just put down a few things I see as the most important. That said... I'm recently single and even more recently a Portland resident. I'm loving this city and my new job, now I would just like to meet someone I can spend time with. I am kind and intelligent but most of all funny. I would say my sense of humor and my savagely honest way about things are my biggest personality traits.
What I’m doing with my life
Exploring the intricacies of relationships. Taking pictures and learning more about photography. Spending time with people I love.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Making people feel comfortable. Making drinks.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would guess the first thing people notice is my laugh. That or my ill fitting pants. I just can't seem to find a tailor that can navigate my massive junk. Just kidding, I don't have trouble finding tailors.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books are easy, the list is short since I don’t read as much as I should. The Hobbit, Ender’s Game, Atlas Shrugged, How To Piss In Public, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Infinite Jest, Christopher Hitchens.

Movies are a lot trickier because there are far too many to list even if I keep it down to just the best of the best. I love Wes Anderson movies and Coen Brothers movies. I like comedies and happy endings but that’s not a requirement. I think my favorite would have to be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Wet Hot American Summer. I can’t list anymore without leaving out a few hundred others.

Shows are great but I haven’t really watched anything with fervor. I usually get on Netflix and go through a whole series within a few days if I like it. Peep Show, Archer, Workaholics, Cosmos, Home Movies, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, the old X-Men cartoon that was probably called X-Men, Mr. Show, Wonder Showzen, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, 30 Rock, Louie. Currently watching Dr. Katz.

Music isn’t something I seek out so I am largely influenced by those around me. I like a wide variety from Alison Krauss to Die Antwoord, from Bjork to Biggie. I like seeing music live and have recently seen My Brightest Diamond, Mumford and Sons, Wallpaper, Band of Skulls, Edward Sharpe, JJAMZ, Hanni El Khatib, and CSS.

Food has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I don’t like Thai food or any other food that tastes bad. I love barbeque and Italian and Mexican and Chinese and Korean and breaded and fried and everything else.
The six things I could never do without
A close circle of friends. A huge group of friends. My parents. My downstairs mix-up. That really deep laugh you can't control. Tom Hanks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. I think about all kinds of things a large amount. I'm not trying to sound impressive I think we all do. I think this is a bit of a silly question. I suppose I think mostly about women.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully doing something exciting. I have in the past enjoyed a wide range of Friday evening activities from the simple drinking and dancing to making a quick trip to the hot springs. I would see the occasional show, play games at friend’s houses, and every so often I go to bed early and sleep for 14 hours. Now I live in a whole different city and have yet to experience a typical Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have an older brother.
You should message me if
You want to set yourself apart from the seven billion people that haven’t.
