My self-summary
I am retired, secure & happy with myself, but...Life is meant for two!! A little bit about myself: I enjoy domestic and international travel, camping by a lake, gardening, home decorating, cooking, Comedy Clubs & Dinner Theater, music, pets, & celebrating special occasions. I am self-sufficient, independent, honest, I have a great sense of humor, & family & friends are very important to me. A woman who ONLY has eyes for me & can make me laugh are important qualities! No Pressure! Let's just relax...become friends & get to know each other... and see what happens.
What I’m doing with my life
Since I retired I had time on my hands. So, I became an ADA advocate for people with disabilities who are covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). While I am not an attorney, I offer guidance, research, and assistance in the preparation of discrimination claims, complaints, and prepare requests for remedial actions under Titles I, II, and III of the ADA. I generally win these ADA complaints or appeals for others. I’m very passionate about it. I also volunteer as a teacher teaching developmentally disabled students. I’m taking one day at a time. I recreate and use bike trails daily. I am trying to get myself back in shape. I am contemplating going back to school for my Master’s/PhD.
I’m really good at
I seem to be good at negotiating and finding win-win solutions and resolutions. I have been accused of making people laugh. I generally manage to make the best of a bad situation. I tend to find positives where others find negatives.

I am told that I am communicative and accessible. I believe good communication is the best solution to solve any problem. I am principled, anything should have its bottom line.
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess you’d have to ask other people. People usually notice my sincerity and warmth. Friends, family, associates, and colleagues point out I am genuine and softhearted.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love all of these things. I like reading books, going to the movies, attending plays, listening to oldies, classical, 60's & 70's music, and trying different kinds of foods. I would like to share my favorite poem wih you:

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

Six things I could never do without
Laughter, friends, moonlight, sunlight, candlelight, starlight
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about how even God cannot change the past. I think how I can better my life and how to make those around me have a better life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Frankly, there is no "typical" Friday night in my life. I like spontaneous "untypical" Friday nights. Is there something you would like to do this Friday night?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Maybe the most private thing I'm willing to admit is that I’m on a dating site?

Lost Smile---Reward For Recovery

I'm putting out a world wide web bulletin to get everyone's help. You see, I've lost my smile. I'm not really myself without it. I have a couple leads that give me hope that it may have been found, including a vague description. She appears to be between 45 and 55 years old, but may appear younger than her age. She at least 4'7" (I am 5' 9"'), not a bbw, but doesn't live at the gym either. She has high-maintenance looks with a down-to-earth attitude, values, and personality. She loves rock & roll and may be found at concerts. I have conflicting reports that she's either a blonde or redhead or brunette. She's intelligent with her own career and not dependent on someone to support her. If this person can be found, I can offer a reward of lifetime devotion, long, slow kisses that last for days, midnight massages, a partner that loves to cook and doesn't mind sharing in the household chores, someone to wash your back, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who will hold you at night. If you think you may have found my smile, please e-mail me as I really need it to be myself. Thanks.
