My self-summary
George Carlin just popped into my head. It'll make sense in a minute.

I'm an audiophilic, information-sucking mess of a man in his physical prime, and I'm both mad and ecstatic about all the music I haven't yet heard, and probably will never hear. I recently learned the term "musical ADHD".

I want to read more, but I get distracted a lot. Mostly by insignificant things, but it's usually beneficial in one way or another.
What I’m doing with my life
I dropped out my bachelor's program in september 2016 because it didn't make sense for me to stay anymore. I then joined a course to become a personal trainer, which I finished in the beginning of April. So now I'm just looking for work(finally).
Other than that, I work out and dabble with a couple of language courses. Progress is slow.

I like learning stuff. Not just what you might call "the dry stuff", but pretty much anything. I spend a lot of time on the internet, which leads me to some interesting places, and I'll suck up every bit of whatever's there. However, some of the more intriguing areas to me are psychology, games, technology, copyright, politics, and "general" science.
In the fiction department, I finally finished reading Dracula by Bram Stoker. I feel embarrassed for not having read it sooner, although the nearly 120-year old prose was killing me.
Since I couldn't decide what to read next, I read a book about hypergamy, a book about the upsides and downsides of video games, as well as re-reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy(just started on 'The Two Towers'...again). I'm also reading an introductory book to evolutionary psychology, a source book for eating disorders, and a book about removing restricting eating from your life. My ADHD might extend to books as well.

Since I started working out, I have also spent a lot of time reading about nutrition, anatomy and physiology. When I get into something, I like to go hardcore. :)
I’m really good at
Not getting hangovers, something my friends envy me for.

My brain mostly fires on all cylinders, so almost no matter what is said during a conversation, I can relate it to some kind of pop culture reference. Or more obscure references.
This is also the reason for George Carlin popping into my head a lot.

Cooking. Well, not exactly gourmet meals, but I know my way around a knife. Saying that last bit out loud makes me sound a bit unhinged.
My specialty is spaghetti bolognese.
The first things people usually notice about me
First my height, then my hair. If they stick around, my voice as well.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favourite books: Lord of the Rings(of course), A Song of Ice and Fire(of course), Dune, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Shades of Grey(not the housewife porn book), The Edge Chronicles, and Telling Lies. I also ate up the novels based on the Guild Wars universe pretty quick.

Favourite movies: The Man From Earth, 12 Angry Men, The Anchorman, The Princess Bride. There are probably a bunch of other ones as well. I watch a lot of movies, but those are the ones that stand out the most.

Favourite shows: Futurama, Castle, Supernatural, Lie To Me, House and Sherlock. I also rewatch Firefly with regular intervals.
I also got hugely into Hannibal a few years ago, it's probably the best psychological thriller show around. And psychopaths interest me.

Favourite music: profile
I listen to pretty much anything(and I do mean anything), but the most popular genres on my playlist are rock, heavy metal and about 16 subgenres of electro.
Soilwork, Tool, Audioslave, Soundgarden, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Opeth, Wolfmother and System of a Down are among the big favourites.

I do a lot of exploration when it comes to music, so much so that I get overwhelmed over how much there is to listen to, annoyed that I don't have more time to find and listen to it, and overjoyed that I can literally keep discovering new music for the rest of my life.

My favourite games are Half-Life 2(episodes included), Typershark Deluxe, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Freelancer, League of Legends and Super Meat Boy. I also played World of Warcraft for about seven years.
Six things I could never do without
My desktop computer
A heap of food
A pullup bar
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I'm going to get money without stealing, how I'm going to eat without stealing and which workout today is.
On a typical Friday night I am
These days, mostly gaming with friends or watching something. Due to my current financial situation, I don't get out much.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a former addict.
You should message me if simply want to chat, or if you have any interesting movie or music suggestions. I like to expand my library every week.

If you're looking for a guy like me to accompany you in life. :)

Or if George Carlin popped into your head.
