My self-summary
I love Feminism and Fashion. And coffee, animals, music, politics, and so on. There is a middle ground between being an introvert and an extrovert called ambivert which nails me. At the moment I'm studying Gender Studies and Political science at FGCU and would like to be your friend. ☺️
What I’m doing with my life
Preparing for a career in academia, and/or a temporary or indefinite stint to Japan. Learning to cook. Lots.
I’m really good at
Writing, public speaking, games, a respectable handful of activities. Oh, and I so invented a drink that is now on every alcohol-related website ever, and highly rated.
The first things people usually notice about me
My kickass style and/or accessories. After talking, my passion about politics and gender issues.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Yes Means Yes, Gender Trouble, Navigating Gendered Terrain

Damsels in Distress, Miyazaki, Mean Girls

TV: Anime (Umaru-chan, Food Wars, Flying Witch)

Music: Trance/Dubstep/House, Smooth Jazz, K and J Pop

Food: Cuisines that pack a punch like Middle Eastern and Thai. I also appreciate aesthetics and presentation which is in the realm of the Japanese. Cooking at home has also been a thing since I got a set of Shuns and a hinoki board.
Six things I could never do without
Coffee/tea, sweet alcohol, gummy candy, Feminism, iphone, animals.

Not putting down the obvious or givens like family, friends, and water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, Gender and Sexuality, EDM, science, animals, post-grad plans (Teach in Japan, PhD study, travel esp. to the Nordic Countries, then professor).
On a typical Friday night I am
Mostly out playing pool or having some drinks, or at a friend's for movies/games. But it all depends on my mood at the time, there is no "typical Friday night routine activity" for me. Apparently everyone says that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not exactly "curvy," but none of the descriptors fit perfectly and it's always fun to screw with gender norms.

My bluntness has gotten me in trouble but it's mostly kept to a dull roar.
You should message me if
You're fun, spontaneous and want to make an awesome new friend :) Some brains would be nice too. Oh and harboring prejudices just doesn't jive. Apparently some people in 2016 have no shame in advising people of color to not contact them. Plus no religious zealots, sorry. If nothing else you sully the name of zeal, a quite pretty word. Anyway, I generally accept humanity with open arms so no worries. Major bonus if you like hugs.

Or, if you think 1,000 words is ridiculous. I just added to an already long profile and I'm barely sittin' on 500 or so.
