My self-summary
Stuff about me:
I am nonreligious. I understand many people are very faith centered. I am not. I do not smoke or do drugs. I would prefer to meet people who are also non-smokers, and do not do drugs.

I have an acceptable job. I own my own car. I own my own house.
I think faster than my poor little fingers can poke, so you may often see an extra or missing letter.

It's a very strange time in my life.

I don't watch or attend sporting events on my own.
I will watch them at gatherings because I enjoy socializing sometimes, and my friends can teach me new things.
I enjoy board games, card games, and tabletop role-playing games.

I am not a country boy. I still might have interest in outdoor activities.
No one is likely to call me old fashioned. On a good day someone might call me gentlemanly. I'll hold a door for just about anyone. I don't stand when someone walks into a room. I don't pull out chairs.
I'll semi-frequently give up a seat to someone else.

I believe that everyone should have an equal start in life.
That means we need to improve the conditions that exist now.
People should be able to marry who they want.
People should be able to get an education without permanent debt.
People shouldn't be terrified of illness as a bankrupting event.

I am deeply disheartened with the US education and reform systems. We need to provide better for our teachers, so that we can properly educate children. Then they can get good jobs, and create a positive cycle of change. We need to have better screening, training, and support for law enforcement. It should be about community engagement, not just policing. When people and law enforcement value and respect each other, the community becomes safer.

I want to meet people who want to get to know me, and hopefully who share similar interests.
What I’m doing with my life
My goals:
*Work on my house
*Swear less. It's a stress reliever, but I have more words than that.
*Be more forgiving and less cynical.

I work for a mortgage company.

I used to volunteer at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, occasionally walking dogs, but mostly dealing for their Texas Hold 'Em tournaments.
Shameless plug -
I also try to donate blood at the Red Cross at least once a year, but I don't do well with needles.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Listening. Offering a persuasive argument. Making plans. Witty Sarcasm
The first things people usually notice about me
My bright eyes and quirky smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - American Gods, Ender's Game series (OSC is horrible, but he writes very well) , Margaret Weis, Fantasy, Thriller, Horror, Science Fiction, anything by Neil Gaiman. I also like most of the "Mega-series" books that have been turned into blockbuster films, but everyone already says they like Harry Potter, Tolkien, etc.

Movies - Comedy, Horror, Sci-Fi, Cult Classics (some B movies, but not all), Drama, Romance
I love time travel stuff. I've been watching Limitless on Netflix. A lot of the Netflix Original Programing. Daredevil, Stranger Things, Sense8.

I prefer Netflix to movie theaters.

TV/Music - Alternative, Industrial, Oldies, Classic Rock, 90's, bits and pieces of almost everything. My play list is in limbo at the moment, as most of my music has been lost. I listen to a very small amount of country, metal and rap, but I don't care for the genres as a whole.

I wasn't much of a concert goer, but a recent show (Pvris, Awolnation, Fallout Boy) has got my interest up again.

Food - Mostly Italian and Mexican, though I'm looking to try new things. I really want to eat healthier, though I have been having a hard time of it. I think I'd like to try more Indian food, and maybe Ethiopian food.
The six things I could never do without
a sense of humor
Freedom of speech
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My family, work, and what I'll be doing on the weekend
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with friends, hanging out, going to movies, reading, watching television, going out to dinner, or skype.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Just ask. If I'm offended, I'll tell you I don't care for the question. If not, you might get an interesting answer.
You should message me if
You are: Open minded, fun, intelligent, or looking to meet new people.

You're willing and brave enough to ask for what you want.
