I own my own home and am looking for someone who is financially independent as well. I consider myself to be extremely liberal, but generally avoid news media.

I've read quite a lot in my life both in and out of school but have not lately found many books that really pull me in, so I'm currently in the middle of about five different books and not actively reading any of them! Looking forward to coming across a book that I can't put down. Suggestions, please? More recently-isa: loved The Girl On The Train. First book that I read in 2 days since I can remember. Really liked The Goldfinch. Listened to The Strain series on audio. The first in the series was better than the others, especially that it was so excellently narrated by Ron Perlman! Just finished Shark Dialogues, which was really good. Suddenly finding myself reading what my 11-year-old nephew is enjoying: in the middle of The 5th Wave series.
