My self-summary
Can air guitarists play guitar if placed in a vacuum?

My big thoughts are usually thwarted by the fact I'm easily amused. I'm an aspiring globetrotter and a constant learner. I love creative and passionate people, Scandanavian design, and I'm saving to learn how to fly a plane.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently moved to Hartford and am settling in. Tell me about your favorite things to do here!

I'm thankful to have what I consider the coolest job at the best company in the world. Work takes me overseas to Denmark several times each year, so when I'm over there, I like to take weekends in other European cities. Prague is my favorite so far.

I'm most alive when I'm somewhere I've never been before, figuring out the environment on my own or with my travel companion. Sometimes "figuring out the environment" doesn't go as planned, like when I was fresh off the plane in Tokyo, negotiating cab fare ...
I’m really good at
Bringing together a quality group of people at a party. Encouraging people when they doubt their natural strengths or value. Writing and public speaking. Finding common ground.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Recent books: Abundance (Peter Diamandis - it's challenging and re-setting a lot of my outlook toward the positive!), Trust Me, I'm Lying (scary stuff!), Click Moment, Steve Jobs biography, Innovator's Dilemma, Betterness (Umair Haque), Snowball (Warren Buffett biography), Social Intelligence (Daniel Goleman), Flow, and The Evolving Self (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi).

TV: Don't own one, don't want one.

Recent music: The Avalanches, Laleh, Cut Copy, Stéphane Pompougnac's Hôtel Costes series, Lukas Graham, Flume, Miami Horror, Empire of the Sun, Flight Facilities, Bingo Players, INXS, Tribe Called Quest. I love Classic Rock, Classical, and 80s pop/rock, and I'm exploring Spanish house and other European house mixes.

Food: I make green smoothies at home, and eat mostly raw veggies and real food (not artificial or processed). Also I don't eat much dairy (cheese is a rare, tasty treat). Can't give up meat though, a rare steak is just too good. Oh, and I could eat Thai food every day for the rest of my life.

Any recommendations for a great Thai place in the area?
Six things I could never do without
Unconditional Friends
Smiles & Laughs
Beauty in people, surroundings and nature
Cuddles with someone special
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What country I want to visit next. High on the list right now is going back to Spain, seeing Iceland, Turkey, Greece, Morocco, Dubai, Thailand, Sweden, Norway, and the UK. Where do you want to go?

Also, what will life be like in 2050? Lots will change both for the better and worse and I'm fascinated by long-term mega-trends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either happy hour or an evening run. I'm finding cultural events too, any favorites I should know about?

You're happy with your life, but never settle, and you appreciate the difference.

You take care of yourself physically and emotionally, you value healthy eating and exercise, are in shape, and are balanced.

You want a man who swings for the fence, knowing he might miss, and you'll love him just the same.
