I like to make (things, a difference, out, a fool of myself, moves, believe, love, mistakes, dinner, friends, some NOIIIIIIISE!)
I play hockey. My nickname back in high school was the oriental express. It's totally racist, but it made me feel like a badass.
I love puns but it's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally. Feel free to steal this joke. A steak pun is a rare medium well done. Poop is a shitty palindrome.
Currently got a lot on my plate - finishing up two screenplays, two film festivals coming up and I'm planning a trip to Alaska to see the aurora borealis with my pops. So might take a little bit longer to reply!
Cooking. It's the best art because you eat it, use all of your senses and it brings people together. Oh, and it pairs well with drinking.
Working with my hands. I have tools, saws, and drills. The world around me is always malleable.
Oyster happy hours.
Dancing - see most private thing I'm willing to admit section.
Léon: The Professional - Beautiful love story. Natalie Portman is amazing.
Terminator 2 - Time travel, machines, liquid metal, the fate of mankind.
The Place Beyond the Pines - A movie about how our actions today echo in the lives of the next generations.
Others: Lost in Translation, Another Earth, True Romance, Dumb and Dumber
The Wire, Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Archer (Phrasing!), House of Cards, Black Mirror, Battlestar Galactica
Calvin and Hobbes - makes any bad day bearable
Currently reading: Ted Chiang's Story of Your Life and Others. Read the short story - Story of Your Life. Amazing. Intelligent, Sci-Fi. The film Arrival is based on the story, although the film doesn't do it justice. It never does.
Music: Funk, Hip- Hop (I used to be a B-Boy), electronic, downtempo, Rage Against the Machine (before a hockey game), Amy Winehouse. My favorite song to Karaoke: Baby Come Back - Player
Podcasts: Ted Radio Hour, Reply All, Invisibilia, This American Life, Radiolab
Travelling (Usually solo)
