My self-summary
(Note: I'm not an A-Lister, so I don't see 'Likes'. If you like my profile, send me a message, something like "I liked your profile", and I in return will check yours out, but promise not view it as you making a first move.)

I am an English speaking Israeli Jew.

Religiously speaking, I am more orthodox in my beliefs, though less observant in practice. I separate meat from milk, buy Kosher food, eat in Kosher places, don't work or go out during the Shabbat, and try not to flaunt the things I'm not observant about.

Politically, I am more right wing (that is, in Israeli politics). I don't take much interest in American politics, or in their ideological debates (such as over gun control, or flag burning).

I don't have any real friends. Most people I know, I know through work or family (or - now - school, as well), and however close I get to them, as I or they move on, I fall out of touch with them.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a general laborer for a contractor for a minimum wages salary.

In my otherwise free time, I'm studying in the evenings for a practical engineer's degree in Software Engineering. (Should be done by 2019.)

Whatever free time is left from all that, I spend surfing the Net, or on my programming projects.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Isaac Asimov's original Foundation Trilogy, The Razor's Edge.
(I don't do much recreational reading of books nowadays, and didn't do that much more when I was younger. Most of my reading today is of articles related to my subjects of interest: Judaism and programming.)

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Pay It Forward, The Fugitive (though I was a lot more impressed by Impostor), Eagle Eye, The Manchurian Candidate(the original one; I was very unimpressed by the re-make they did of it), The Shop Around the Corner, Virtual Sexuality, You Drive Me Crazy, Shrek, Up.

T.V. Shows: The West Wing, Numb3rs, Person of Interest, Elementary, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica (mainly the first two seasons), Avatar: The Last Air Bender, Samurai Jack.

Music: The Adiemus Project's Cantata Mundi.
As far as artists and genres go, I am more incline towards pop music of the 90s and Weird Al Yankovic, and less inclined towards Heavy Metal and Israeli _Mizrachi_ music. Beyond that I have no singers, band, or genres that I'm particularly a fan of: some [performances of] songs I like, and others I don't.
My favorite play-lists include (in no particular order): Alice Cooper's Poison, Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal, Cake's Daria, Chaiyya Chaiyya, Chumbawamba's Tubthumping (the 4.5 minute version), Coldplay's Clocks, Crimson and Clover, an extended version of the Elementary soundtrack, Fatal Bazuka's Fous Ta Cagoule, Fine Young Cannibals' cover of Suspicious Minds, Foster The People's Pumped Up Kicks, Kaiser Chiefs' Oh My God, OneRepublic's All The Right Moves, Seal's Crazy, Steve Harley's Make Me Smile, Tarkan's Simarik, The Dandy Warhols' Bohemian Like You, Travis' Sing, The Kinks' Lola and Sunny Afternoon, Audiosmog's covers of Daylight in Your Eyes and The Riddle, and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain's covers of: Pinball Wizard, Psycho Killer, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Teenage Kicks and Wuthering Heights.

Food: Grilled Chicken.
I am not a great fan of spicy food, and generally avoid exotic cuisine.
On a typical Friday night I am
... having a Shabbat meal with my family, and resting from the long week.
You should message me if
... you want to. As I don't receive many messages, I see no reason to be choosy about who contacts me. Also, as I don't have much experience in relationships, I'd be hard pressed to define what kind of person I'd be more likely to hit it off with.
