Hi. I could tell you that I like sushi, walking on the beach and my favorite color is fusia, but that would sound like a pop song or a line from a movie, so I won't. The greatest gift is life and the only sin is to return it unopened. I love good food, good wine/beer, good friends, good music, exotic travel, exploration, everything I can to enjoy everything I can. I like to drive to Wenatchee for lunch or Vancouver for dinner. I want to learn how to drive, fly, operate, any kind of vehicle. I write music listening to music. I love baroque, swing, jazz, punk, industrial, pretty much anything that is not from a manufactured band. I like to learn everything I can.

I am puckish, epicurian, and sui generis
What I’m doing with my life
I'm saving up to sail around the world. My boat is back in Seattle and I'm 1/3 of my way to my savings goal.

Otherwise, I'm exploring this part of the world, but not very successfully. I'm working in Suwanee doing virtual training systems and before that I made video games.
I’m really good at
Accepting cultures as they are and not trying to turn where I am into where I come from.
The first things people usually notice about me
I walk like a sailor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I love books that every time I read them I get more out of it.

Movies - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Night of the Comet. Anything good.

Music - I love all music if it's done by someone who must perform or they will die. Anything else is usually crap.

Food - Indian, Ethiopian, Thai, Mexican, Pretty much everything eaten about 17 degrees north.
The six things I could never do without
Now that I fly 24+ hours straight, I notice that most things I wish I had are either impractical on an airplane or illegal. I bought a guitar in India because I was going into withdrawal. Nothing has 24 hour battery life. It makes everything I would have said seem silly, but what I find it hard to live without are even sillier.

I need Chunky Peanut Butter. I need a guitar. I need good cheese. I need friends. I'd like the power to stay on. I'd like the mosquitoes to leave me alone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
80% of the size of a mountain is oxygen!
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing things I would be doing any other night. Why is Friday so special? Oh! I forgot to start a batch of bread for tomorrow!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Private Ryan.
You should message me if
Life has become pretty simple for me. I'm always interested in new friends, especially because I've moved to a new part of the country. Anyone who is interested in talking about any number of subjects or geeking out or building something crazy or going off on mad adventures is more than welcome.

What I'm really looking for is someone I can hang out with while watching a great film or TV show, or heading up into the mountains for a drive or a hike. I've discovered a great BBQ place in Marion Illinois and would love to take someone there for a taste. Long term, I'm going to sail off into the sunset in my boat and whoever wants to come along is welcome, but I'm going to sail off into the sunset in my boat.

I'm far more interested in finding a best friend than a sexy play toy. I've learned that wanting the same experiences out of life are more important than pretty much everything else. If you don't want to travel the world then I hope we can be great friends and if you do then I hope we can become travel partners.

If you are Sammy, I'll get your money soon.
