My self-summary
Have lived all over - Atlanta, Montreal, Vancouver, Kyoto, Boston, Toronto and came back to Van a year ago. Very silly nature nerd mildly obsessed with conservation. Follower of Trixie and Katya. Regular moocher of friends who know how to cook. Comfortable telling people "yes I'm drinking kombucha at this house party and no you can't have any".
What I’m doing with my life
Going back to school for conservation (in forestry) and loving it (the plethora of 20 year old junior-lumberjack-eye-candy doesn't hurt either). Also work as a tour guide/educator at a botanical garden and volunteer at Stanley Park.
I’m really good at
backflips. I grew up in gymnastics and cheerleading in the South (where having more guys than girls on a team is actually a thing).

Finding a hummingbird at least once a day in Vancouver all year round and making sure to let people know about it lol They're amazing and no one notices them!
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Or at least that's what I'm told. Praise be to orthodontics.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Fictional stories with some fantasy mixed in. Natural history books.

Pixar, Last Air Bender, Mean Girls (of course), Miyazaki films, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Sherlock, Marie Antoinette, Wes Anderson movies, The Man Who Spoke Snakish, One River, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Drag Race to name a few. More a reader than a tv watcher.

Music: Half Moon Run, Aluna George, Sarah Jarosz, Arcade Fire, Grimes, Lisa Leblanc, Aaliyah, Childish Gambino, Kaytranada, Bonobo, Metric. Folk to synth to rock. Kinda all over the place.
Six things I could never do without
Green space, the chance to pet strangers' dogs, something to learn, tea, a wide network of friends, and books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I hate single-use plastics and why I'm a muggle.

But actually - how to improve the condition of natural spaces, get people interested in the natural world, and how I can do those things as a career. With sass.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually hanging out with some friends, getting drinks/dinner.
