I'm a rather laid-back individual, I appreciate art in all its forms, I'm the front man of a band(local), I'm an intellectual, and by that, I probably mean I'm a nerd, which I certainly am.
Perhaps the one thing that, depending on circumstances, may or may not be blatantly evident, is that I'm one hell of a hopeless romantic. Despite all my cynical/sarcastic/cruel comments, and my facial expressions of apathy/anger/annoyance, I'm a very kind-hearted, patient, and understanding person underneath it all.
I have an incredible knack for being socially awkward as well. However, I'm also capable of speaking/typing in complete, coherent sentences. Most of the time anyway. You'd be surprised how challenging it is to find that last one.
I'm told I'm a good listener, therefore I usually end up being a "sounding board" for people so to speak, which honestly, I don't mind too much, but I enjoy stimulating, intellectual conversation equally as much if not, more so.
I suppose it would be nice to find someone that doesn't mind listening to me rant on occasion, though too. Makes for good conversation to have a good back and forth like that I feel if nothing else right?
...or asking what did they do to cause me to look so irritated all of a sudden? I'm quite good at keeping people away when I want
Books: Big fan of Stephen King, Hunter S. Thompson, Terry Pratchett overall. Currently working my way through the Star Wars timeline as well. I'm always open to suggestions from others of new stuff to read though.
Movies: Way too many to name entirely, but near the top of my lists: Star Wars, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Back to the Future trilogy, Ghostbusters, pretty much anything the Apatow crew produces, etc.
Shows: The Colbert Report, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Breaking Bad, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, Arrested Development, and documentaries as of the last several years. Especially the ones that get a little out there like Ancient Aliens. If nothing else, it makes for humorous watching because that guy with the Tim Burton hair known as Georgio on there never ceases to disappoint in that regard. Serious ones are good too. I imagine if I could choose the channels that came with my cable service, H2(History Channel 2) would be mandatory as it appears the original History channel has gone the way of MTV and has anything but what the name suggests it should on there nowadays.
Music: Goo Goo Dolls, Silverchair, Nirvana, Green Day, Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Abandoned Pools, Semisonic, Breaking Benjamin, Third Eye Blind, Neutral Milk Hotel, At The Drive In, Boston, The White Stripes, The Smashing Pumpkins, Audioslave, Lit, Flogging Molly, Tool, Bush, A Perfect Circle, Filter, Asylum, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Mars Volta, Cradle of Filth, Disillusion, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu Borgir, Kataklysm, Switchblade Symphony, The Violent Femmes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soul Asylum, Mother Love Bone, The Cranberries, Incubus, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Switchfoot, R.E.M., Goldfinger, Mumford and Sons, Fun., Kings of Leon, Seether, the list goes on from there.....
Food: I eat pretty much anything. Food is something I'm not even remotely picky about probably 99% of the time
2. Technology in general
4. White Russians (the drink)
Really at this point, based on track record so far, I'd find it more of a curiosity if someone were to message me at all on here, so have at it.
