My self-summary
This empty space yawns and intimidates me.

I could copy and paste a summary from another dating site, but this isn't strictly a dating site, is it? So that would be a little inappropriate. Not to mention lazy.

In accordance with OkCupid's "three adjectives" thing, I am funny, honest, and introverted. At least I think I'm funny.
What I’m doing with my life
To be updated at my leisure.
I’m really good at
observing and understanding people, holding a conversation and giving advice.

I love to make people laugh if I can, and I'm not bad at it. My sense of humor is sarcastic and a little warped, and some people just don't get it.

I'm gifted with the written word, which is a damn good thing since I'm an English major.
The first things people usually notice about me
I honestly have no idea. That I'm sort of tall, maybe?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy the work of way too many authors to list, but my favorites to date are William Faulkner (The Sound and the Fury is probably my favorite novel) and Cormac McCarthy. I've read all of the latter's work. He's incredible.

A list of the films I love would take forever. Among my favorites are Pulp Fiction, The Conversation, Jacob's Ladder, Fargo, Lost in Translation, Falling Down, The Iron Giant, Once Upon a Time in the West, and pretty much anything by Miyazaki. I love and enjoy pretty much every genre, but I'm the most drawn to drama, I think. I also love great television (David Milch is my freakin' hero and The Wire is literally life-changing stuff).

Musically, I'm a little unconventional. I enjoy most genres of music (yes, even some country), but If I'm listening to the radio, it's either tuned to a talk station (and I'm probably talking back to the radio) or my iPod.

I won't even attempt a list of foods I love. How about a list of foods I dislike? I'm not a huge fan of sushi... and that's about it!
Six things I could never do without
1) my family and pets (boring but true)
2) my close friends (ditto)
3) my individuality
4) art (mostly literature)
5) the internet (SAD but true)
6) video games (but not MMORPGs like World of Warcraft)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my family and my future, the things that motivate individual human behaviors, human nature, and my own motivations, values, strengths and weaknesses. Is it obvious I'm an introvert?
On a typical Friday night I am
working, from 4PM to midnight. Saturday night too, at the moment. Sunday is my day off, during which I usually go out to hang out or eat with my friends or lounge around my apartment, catching up on my reading and gaming.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The personality awards on this site are a complete joke. In fact, I think this site is a joke, and I don't expect anything to come from my presence here.
You should message me if
you're bored and you just want to chat. I'm not particular. (If I don't answer, I've left the browser open and I'm gone somewhere, honest.)
