My self-summary
Figuring out how to be a grown-up a little more each day.
What I’m doing with my life
For work, I underwrite mortgage loans. I get to work from home, which I love, but it can make me pretty stir crazy at times, so it's nice to get out of the house when I can.
I’m really good at
being open to seeing the value in new things.

...and Dr. Mario
The first things people usually notice about me
hmm... I honestly don't know the answer to this one. If we should meet in the future, please tell me what it was you first noticed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I tend to like older music - Dylan, Stones, Neil Young, Pixies, Elvis Costello, and so on. As far as current stuff goes, that first Alabama Shakes album is pretty perfect. Nine Inch Nails is fantastic, and has done no wrong.

TV Shows - Rick and Morty, Archer, Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Walking Dead, Mad Men, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and some others.

Food - I'll try anything twice. I eat Mexican food at least weekly.

Nick Hornby is cool. So is Robert Kirkman. I've read some Hemingway, Vonnegut, Hunter Thompson and all that fun stuff, and have enjoyed it, but don't find myself reading for pleasure that often.

That leaves movies. I could go on forever on this one, but suffice it to say that if it's a great film, regardless of where or when it was made, I'm interested. Favorite directors include Billy Wilder, Akira Kurosawa, Cameron Crowe, Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Francois Truffaut, but that's barely scratching the surface. Charlie Chaplin was a genius.
The six things I could never do without
Friends, Movies, Music, Nachos, Trivia, Bacon.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what the next step is to becoming a better human being.
On a typical Friday night I am
either resting at home after a long week, or out with friends having a few beverages.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The first music I owned consisted of two cassette tapes purchased simultaneously: Huey Lewis and the News - Fore! and Lionel Ritchie - Dancing on the Ceiling. My tastes have improved exponentially since then.
You should message me if
you'd like to chat about movies, music, where this life is headed, or really anything. Do it.
