"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. - Wayne Gretzky - Michael Scott"
This is absolutely true. I used to play basketball. I would never, ever attempt to shoot the ball into the goal. On the rare occasion the ball came into my possession, I would immediately launch it away from my body, feeling as if it were engulfed in the flames of hell. And do you know what? I missed ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the shots I might have taken, had my fingers not been turned into Satan's hot dogs. Lesson learned!
Years later, I found out that the game I had been playing was actually called "golf", and that I really had no business tossing the ball around the "green" (golf term for court) anyway. Another lesson learned!
I suppose I have no business playing sports.
So many lessons learned today!
Well thanks for telling me, because i had no idea.
I instinctively grabbed the rope and set it on fire. What was once a normal, every day rope that could be easily ascended with boring old muscle power became a writhing tentacle of death, as I wildly swung it about the gymnasium chanting "you're not my dad!" over and over again. Talk about upping the rope!
Once my dad arrived, we put out the fire together and marveled over what once were my fingers, now seared to perfection, 10 little ball park franks ready for the bun.
So many memories! Where does the time go?
Chewin' the fat with the grease out.
