My self-summary
I'm happy and an unapologetic nerd. Born and raised in New York, moved to the Bay Area for my MBA, and am really beginning to like it here.

Former computer scientist, turned professional poker player, turned hedge fund risk manager. I am currently an analytics junkie, rec basketball league all-star rebounder, and a knowledge sponge.

I love learning, long dinners and debates with friends, music, open minded people, and the Oxford comma. I believe people are basically good, the ability to science is one of our greatest superpowers, and that feedback is a gift.
What I’m doing with my life
I finished my MBA at Stanford a couple of years ago and am currently the head of growth analytics for a big technology company in the Bay.

I want to live a healthy and happy life, and I am at my best when I am creating simple solutions for complex puzzles. I care a lot about financial literacy, and a long-term goal of mine is to help create products and ideas that will de-mystify that entire world and make it easier for everyday people to make sound financial decisions. I will be phenomenal at it.
I’m really good at
Building things, telling stories, listening, explaining complex concepts, poker, all sorts of games, mediating conflict and making people feel comfortable and included.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am extremely energetic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows - Game of Thrones, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Scandal, How I Met Your Mother, Homeland, and Modern Family. I binge watch a lot of TV.

Books - Sapiens, by Yuval Noah Harati, Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman, Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely

Music - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chromeo, Tantric, Ace of Base, Madonna, and Three Doors Down. There are tons of others, but those are the ones that came to mind immediately... I've won "Most Eclectic" on Spotify numerous times.

Food - Yes.
Six things I could never do without
Friends, family, the Internet (sad, but true), intellectual conversation, learning, and board games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can we make the world more open and connected? In our quest to understand one another, how can we create structures to enable us to fight confirmation bias? How can we make sustainable, altruistic behavior more economically viable? How do we manage some of the biggest existential threats to society today? How to spread financial literacy? Creative, effective charity. Individuals' motivations. Statistics.
On a typical Friday night I am
Mostly I am spending time with my good friends (movies, TV, music, conversation, games, dinner), but I also enjoy the occasional big night out.

I love television, board games, dinners, and philosophical debate.

I could also be eating pizza and writing code.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am pretty open about myself. Candor is a strength of mine.
You should message me if
You're looking for someone to spend time with to get to know and explore with. You'd prefer to spend time in small groups over big groups, but you enjoy balance.

You think it is completely reasonable that I chose not to list all of my travel destinations on my profile to look sophisticated.
