My self-summary
This is my final update:
I am freeing my life of the obstacles that have stopped me from dating and ready to give this my full attention.
This stage of my life is more about feeding my soul than lining my pockets, acquiring stuff or keeping up with the Joneses or anyone else. Family, friends, health and learning are my focus.I value simplicity and organization. One of my long standing passions is to motivate, encourage, inspire or support one of my friends everyday. One never knows when an act of kindness will turn someone's day (or life) around.

I enjoy sports, music, reading, trivia, movies, road trips, gardening, travel, antiques/auctions, lectures, hiking and of course, conversation. I am more spiritual than religious. While I typically don't debate politics, I lean to the left. Wellness is on my mind more than ever; I am trying to clean up my diet and walk or engage in some form of physical activity every day for fitness and as a stress reliever.

I am a sucker for lively eyes and a devilish grin. Not interested in cheaters, haters, know it alls and persons who are intolerant. Your car, motorcycle and boat are far more interesting to you than to me but that's ok, it is important to have your own interests. I don't expect people to be drama free or have all of their baggage stowed, life happens, just keep things in perspective. I am a therapist by trade but I have no desire to be your therapist. We are all works in progress.Who you are matters more to me than who you know, what you do, where you live or how much you have. I value education ( school of hard knocks included) over income. My personality type is INTJ - I am seeking someone who truly understands the dynamics of being in a relationship with an introvert . I am willing to accept a partner's quirks, idiosynchrocy and some insecurity but I am unwilling to take on your debt and dysfunction.

I am seeking a companion for a life journey built on trust, tolerance, sharing, loyalty, passion, fun, and abiding friendship. I am the proud mother of 3 young adults. Map reading skills are not necessary but you must enjoy getting lost and tolerate detours. It's all about the ride!

Time for my come to Jesus moment on here- I have to be honest with me and you. I am most attracted to tall, thin - medium, bald men- race does not matter . However, sometimes someone outside of those parameters comes along and turns my head.As much as I am learning to say " YES" to life, I still know what I am attracted to physically and what resonates with me emotionally and spiritually. I am selective.
What I’m doing with my life
Stepping out boldly into the next phase of my life! Moved from Atlanta back to my native Pennsylvania in July 2015. I am rebuilding a life that is focused on my heart's desires at a time in my life when I have the freedom to explore and enjoy.
I’m really good at
Listening, needs assessment , problem solving, setting and meeting goals, organizing and managing the details. Even though this may sound like my resume, I bring these same skills to a relationship.

Oh, I can sing! Been told that I'm a great kisser and a good cuddler.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and my curves but I also have red hair that catches one's attention.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry and Naked by David Sedaris are my favorite books. I was given The Encyclopedia of Bad Taste as a gift, I use it as a desk reference! I have a profound fascination with things that are tacky. If you have a velvet Elvis, macrame owl or aqua appliances, we may have the start of a beautiful friendship.

I am a movie fan and like many genres.I enjoy the John Ford/John Wayne westerns. Life is Beautiful is possibly my all -time favorite film; it breaks my heart ,makes me laugh and inspires me each time I watch it.

Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey and Empire are my must see tv. Big Bang Theory makes me laugh out loud. If you are a Sheldon Cooper type , feel free to message me immediately.

I am fond of most food but I especially like Italian and cajun foods. Cooking is a survival skill for me and not an art form. However, if you are a foodie or have culinary gifts feel free to take charge.

My music tastes are varied but I will admit that I love punk rock and merely tolerate country music. Post Modern Jukebox is a new favorite. Precious Time by Van Morrison is my current theme song.
Six things I could never do without
Was going to submit lighthearted /humorous responses but decided that I should take the risk and reveal myself: 1. My faith in the ultimate goodness of God and man 2. My children 3. Friends 4. Honesty in my relationships 5. Curiosity 6. Desire to continue learning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why I continue with online dating and this site in particular. On occasions someone I do not believe to be a good match has contacted me, I have thanked them for their interest only to be called a snob, a bitch or worse ( thus proving my point!). So I decided that not responding is the better course to avoid the whole awkward conversation only to still have individuals go out of their way to call me a bitch or worse.
I truly believe that most of us know what we are seeking and are looking for a " best fit". I have neither the time for or interest in serial dating or just getting to know a bunch of random people. I am a busy, educated, single professional who would like to share the rest and best of my days with someone in my own age range and general locale who shares my interests and has a similar educational/ professional background. I am not seeking someone who does not live in the US or within half a days drive of my current location ( excluding Atlanta - I am in and out of the area multiple times a year).. I am not seeking anyone younger than 40 or with small children. This is not something to be taken personally it is just a fact of my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Not sure if I have a typical Friday night but happy hour sounds good to me!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am afraid of birds. Seriously.
You should message me if
If you actually want to meet someone; this endless messaging and texting does not work for me.
If you are seeking a best friend, confidante, partner in crime, travel companion and oh, yes, a lover. Liars, looneys, wimps, boys who never grew up, control freaks, and anyone who can not be faithful in a long term committed relationship need not apply.
The two of us
