My self-summary
I feel a sense of mystery is always a good thing. I find people are more than can be summed in a few words, and are more interesting and exciting than they give themselves credit for. I'm a business analyst and rather good at statistically figuring out the odds for any situation. Pretty good at poker as a result.

But don't let that confuse you. I'm also passionate and believe in natural beauty. To reference a William Blake poem. "To see the world in a grain of sand and the heavens in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour." The universe is infinitely complex and therefore possess infinite beauty to be explored and felt.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a data scientist and love using my knowledge of computer algorithms to discover new insights into people and the world. My career surged in the last year from being relentless towards it so I'm finally taking some time to enjoy life more.
I’m really good at
Evidently intimidating bears, no joke. I went solo backpacking on a 5 day trip and had a bear stalk me for three hours, got up to 10 feet to me several times looking for food. I had to keep intimidating it away. Ofcourse in the end it turned out to be very cute, giving me this puppy dog look to try and get food.

Other thing is taking care of the people who are important to me. My brother and sister are 19 and I want to be there and support them every chance I can, especially since they're having to deal with going off to college.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I can switch between deep philosophical discussions, to who was the better captain of the the Enterprise.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Do love Harry Potter and Song of Ice and Fire.
Just reread Count of Monte Cristo, an amazing book.
Philosophically: I love to read anything Nietzsche to Plato to Kierkegaard.
But that doesn't mean I don't have room for the Calvin and Hobbes moments.

TV I'm a big nerd, so anything the least bit Scifi, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad. Throw in some Always Sunny to deconstruct the human ego as it interacts with its ideal portrayal, and baby, you got a stew going!

Movies: Thomas Crown Affair, Paprika, The Fountain, Anchorman, and oh so many others.

With music, its all about what it brings out emotionally. Madeleine Peyroux for more soulful, Muse for excitement, Daft Punk for edgy, Jack White for quirky, Opera for beauty. Oh and I'm on a huge Kpop roll atm. 2ne1, SNSD, 4Minute.

I do enjoy the occasional great game: Shadow of the Colossus, Last of Us, Starcraft 2, Homeworld, Total War series, Warhammer 40k. Love a great strategy or simulation game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
‎"Always waste time when you don't have any. Time is not the boss of you."
-the Doctor

Also I'm now old enough to consider the decade I grew up in as better than any decade which followed. Sorry 00s but the 90s had genie pants and good music.
On a typical Friday night I am
Always trying for something new. I recommend going to three different restaurants, have appetizer at one, main course at another, and dessert at a third. And when in doubt and you want to stay in, its always fun to cook with someone a meal you've never tried before over a glass of Pinot Noir. Best meal to date: a delicious and mouthwatering Chicken Rollade with Pesto and Sun Dried Tomatoes.
You should message me if
You're someone who can get giggly over a new scientific discovery.
If your conversations seem to come out of a Joss Whedon show/movie.
You're someone that's exciting to get to know. I'd like to use this to meet interesting new people, and doesn't have to be for dates. My philosophy is to get to know someone first, have an exciting time, and if it turns into dating, then all the better.
