I consider drawing my raison d'etre, but I've been struggling to find time for it these days. I love ink and gouache especially. I used to mainly use just one medium round brush but I recently got my hands on a lot of vintage dip pens and nibs so I've been practicing my penmanship too. I studied graphic design for a bit so Adobe CS is sort of my other medium. Digital is a necessary evil in my eyes.
Otherwise, I stutter when I first meet people and that seems like something they're more likely to notice.
Books: A Season in Hell, all things Haruki Murakami, His Dark Materials
Movies: Anything by Studio Ghibli, the Coen Brothers, Larry Clark, Martin Scorsese, John Cassavetes... I like traditional animation a lot.
Music: Michael Hedges, Michael Manring, Erik Mongrain, and some but not all other CANdYRAT types; Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst, other iconic sadcore dudes; any band Carla Kihlstedt has played for
