My self-summary
When I was a kid, about 8-9, my brother and I decided we were going to move away and live on our own. My mom packs us a lunch and off we marched into the jungles of Okinawa, where we lived. We explored caves and climbed up trees and swung on vines like Tarzan. We ate our lunch by a creek bed and planned to build a shelter. At the end of the day, after seeing a dead skin of a habu snake (about 6' long), we decided that we'd rather sleep in our beds and "moved back home." While I gather that my mom figured that was what we were going to do, that is what my life is like: full of adventure, exploring new places, never afraid to stick my head into something like a cave or shimmy up a tree...but not interested in tempting dangerous things like messing with a deadly habu snake. At the end of the day, it's good to come home to family.

I really love life with a crazy zeal. I get high from living life. I want to experience all this life has to offer. I enjoy laughing and creating an environment for laughing. A quick wit is one of my gifts. I love learning and helping people. I can and enjoy having serious talks with good friends. I relish all of the arts and anything outdoors. I have traveled around the world and I am going to do more. I believe in encouraging those around me...always. Other things that I enjoy include concerts, live plays, Seahawks football, baseball, hiking, biking, reading books, boating, parasailing, fishing and camping. I enjoy learning new things or exploring new places.
What I’m doing with my life
In my career, I work a very challenging job helping people. I am also the President of the employee association representing my colleagues.

In my spare time, I mentor men and have done that for years helping them with their marriages, how to be a better dad, overcoming life's hard issues, their faith in God, that kind of thing. If you have seen the movie "Courageous" and or "Fireproof" then you have an idea of what I am talking about.
I’m really good at
I relate well to people from all walks in life. I usually blend in where ever I am. Throw me in a crowd and I am comfortable talking to anyone. (I am an ENFP if you are familiar with BM)

Other things would include: creating laughter and having a quick wit; have the ability to be discerning and perceptive; loyal and faithful; seeing the best in all people; planning vacations; being empathetic/compassionate; cooking; kissing; seeing the glass as half full, helping friends or even strangers with instilling hope. I have a green thumb that seems to be genetic (my whole family has green thumbs). Tying cherry stems with my tongue into a knot or even a double knot. :)

I am good at story telling. I use to make up stories to tell my daughter on long road trips. I am very good at reading children's stories to children.

I can make awesome coffee, bake wonderfully delightful bread, parallel park, and I can take great pictures.

I never get lost. It's like I have an internal GPS in my head. Once, I found my dad's best man's and his wife, my mom's maid of honor, house. (Yes, they got married after my parents marriage). Why was that amazing? I had only been there one time, 10 years prior, along the coast of California and I drove right up to their house without getting lost or asking for directions. :)

**Footnote: I asked some female colleagues at work to help me with this list and some of these items came from them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a fun and easy person to be around.

My smile.

My eyes.

I'm pretty strong. (I have to tone down my handshake grip.)

On a typical Friday night I am
My life isn't typical so I don't have the same routine every Friday night. It varies. Sometimes, it is a night home. Other times it is going out with friends. I might leave town for the weekend. Or simple pour a glass of Shiraz or anything dry, turn on Pandora and read a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It's not pretty when you are drinking milk and laughing at the same time. It some times comes out different orifices which causes uncontrollable get the picture. It's not pretty. Yeah, I did that. More than once.

Some things are suppose to remain private. :)
You should message me if
*You are curious about what you read and want to know more.

*You have pictures of you that are fairly recent. No pics = no response. You already see me and what I wrote. That's fair.

*You are a Christ follower.

*Definitely single.

*You are drug free, alcohol and addiction free.

*You really like to laugh.

*You are emotionally available. (You are really over your last relationship).

You should NOT message me if you are:

* Currently married by definition of the law, separated, have never been divorced but live apart, involved in a relationship now and fishing for something else...anything related to that...don't bother wasting your time on me. I am 100% NOT interested...ever. That is no way to build a future relationship.

* Don't have any pictures posted.

*Don't say you are younger than you are. Lying upfront means you will do it again later. Keep walking by.

**Outside the United States of America? Not interested. Sorry.

*Live outside of driving distance? Sorry. Not interested in long distance relationships.
