My self-summary
Preface - Ehh these are stupid but I'll try to humor...
Midwest kid, born and raised in Michigan, went to Michigan State and I've been out in LA for 7.5 years now. I dig and appreciate good music, good food, good movies, sports, traveling, adventures... I'd like to think I'm fairly intelligent with a pretty good sense of humor and have the ability to hold a solid conversation as I've been told that I'm very easy to talk to. That's probably because I'm smart, cool, funny and clearly grounded. I'm athletic and really enjoy playing sports. I'm fairly active but I do like to relax and just slow things down here and there. I'm positive, driven and very happy with how my life has progressed up to this point. I do my best to be altruistic daily. I'd probably consider myself a romantic but I'm also pretty independent so I'm very much attracted to a girl that spoils me while maintaining her strength, confidence and ability to field a life outside mine.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for an Aerospace company and I recently moved to the proposal world. I do my best to be active whether trying to play hockey, beach volleyball, tennis, hiking or surfing or just getting in the gym a few times a week. Most of my friends are close so I do what I can to have something going on most nights of the week.
I try to get out of LA, or at least my surrounding hood, once a month. Out of the state and/or country a few times a year. Out of the continent once a year. I'd definitely like to increase some of my traveling or adventures but I very much like where I've placed myself these days so I'm happy regardless. I'm a big believer in getting out of your comfort zone(s) as much as possible though.
I’m really good at
-Falling back to sleep.
-Opening jars and doors.
-Remembering faces.
-Forgetting names.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably beard and eyes these days
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
-I pretty much listen to the best music but I'll still give yours a chance. Cuz you're cute. And you've earned it. Just don't push it and make me listen to country. Here's a few with talent for noise: Miike Snow, Cut Copy, LANY, New Build, The Black Keys, Chvrches, Odesza, Caribou, Glass Animals, Alt-J, Arcade Fire, White Denim, Broken Bells, The Shins, Phantogram, Hot Chip, White Rabbits, Tapes 'n Tapes, Calvin Harris, Ghostland Observatory, The Presets, LCD Soundsystem, Pretty Lights, Mumford and Sons, He's My Brother She's My Sister, Foster the People, The Lumineers, Portugal. The Man, Tanlines, French Kicks, cults, Foals, The War On Drugs, Young The Giant, Purity Ring, Kings of Leon, Passion Pit, Cold War Kids, Phoenix, The xx, Genesis, Hall & Oats, Huey Lewis And The News, RHCP, STP, most of Jack White's bands/projects...

-I absolutely love food and am always up for trying something new.
I don't trust anyone who doesn't like breakfast.

-Sadly, I'm not a very avid reader regarding books but I do go through phases where I'll inhale a bunch usually due to recommendations from friends or a preferred writer's newest piece. After that my reading consists of dude magazines (ESPN and Men's Health), financial nonsense (Economist somewhat frequently) and a random mix of tech, science, history or whatever is topical at the time.

-Mr. Robot, Stranger Things, Master of None, Game of Thrones, Madmen, Newsroom, Silicon Valley, Halt and Catch Fire, Fargo, True Detective, House of Cards, Narcos, Empire, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Shameless, Vice Principals, Eastbound and Down, Bored to Death, Tosh.0, Archer, Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, Always Sunny, Boardwalk Empire, Workaholics, Da Vinci's Demons, The Man in the High Castle, Ray Donovan, The Last Kingdom, Vikings, Gotham, Ballers, Casual, Moonbeam City... p.s. I'm behind or not consistent with most of these as I don't watch hecka TV but I'll binge on a cold/rainy/hungover day.

-As for movies, I like a good comedy or action film, will watch the occasional romcom but usually avoid scary movies. I can also get down with a solid documentary. No chance imma list hecka movies but anything Wes Anderson is super dope. Here's a few more: Big Lebowski, Usual Suspects, Office Space, Garden State, Caddyshack, Godfather, Star Wars, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Top Gun, anything Pixar...
Six things I could never do without
I can do without anything that isn't vital to live but here's a stab at my secondary priorities:
-Maybe a good rest/sleep/nap/re-charge on comfy beds/couches/hammocks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How rad sharks are
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical is lame
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The other day, I had a good feeling that I had 16-17 items and still went in the express checkout lane. That's not a reflection of who I am though.
You should message me if
-You like to smile and laugh.
-You're perfect.
-I'm perfect.

***You're healthy, active and reasonably in shape or at least in the process***

I'm not fully decided but I'm pretty sure I don't wanna date you if you own/use a selfie stick.
