I'm pretty tangential and enjoy conversations that go in lots of directions. I'm an interesting combination of cynic-and-believer-in-all-possibilities.
I'm open minded and exploratory. Intellectual and artistic curiosity are both really important to me. Feminism and social justice are important to me.

Traveling as much as I can. Recent adventures have included Costa Rica, Frostburn, Prague, and a bunch of local hikes and road trips. Just discovered Atlas Obscura. Obsessed.

being completely oblivious to cultural iconography. one Halloween there was a pumpkin with the Wu-Tang Clan symbol carved into it, which I thought was the Batman symbol.

Movies - High Fidelity, Goodbye Lenin, Motorcycle Diaries, Chasing Amy, Clerks, Dogma
TV - Honestly, don't have time for a lot of TV these days, though House of Cards was pretty good. Also BoJack Horseman is randomly and unexpectedly excellent.
Music - all of that terrible stuff from the 90s is my jam. Also, Aimee Mann, Ben Harper, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson. By virtue of one of my social circles I've learned not to hate electronic music, and actually getting into live synth stuff.
Food - can I list ingredients instead? among other things, fresh sage, fresh cilantro, cheese (all kinds!), butternut squash, cayenne pepper, caramelized onions. I love to cook, especially for other people
What direction I want to take with my career and what I need to do to make that happen.
Relationships...finding the way to accomplish simultaneous commitment & individual autonomy and freedom with one's partner is a wonderful and complicated challenge. It's not something to be taken on lightly, but potentially very much worth it in the end.
