My self-summary
I live my life seeking truth. I am an open-minded, optimistic, driven, loyal and genuine individual. I try to embrace and see value in everything I experience. I am passionate about what I value in life. Little things make me happy and I feel most like myself when immersed in nature. I enjoy being active, whether that be doing yoga, jogging, going on a hike or road trip, etc. I consider my friends as family. I am quite extroverted, but still enjoy moments of solitude. To some degree, I feel like I am in a constant state of paradox...I kind of like it that way. I'm a fairly independent gal, and a crazy cat lady at heart.

Supposedly, my personality type is: ESFJ-A
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a Psychologist. Continually striving to balance aspects of myself. Laughing, always.
I’m really good at, listening/conversing deeply with others, assessing and responding to people's emotional states, recognizing people's strengths, laughing at myself/making others laugh, living mindfully (for the most part), getting overly excited, giving back massages (might want to pursue massage therapy one day), making high pitch sounds when I see anything cute, dancing, channeling my inner drive, being focused/organized, questioning everything, relating to kiddos, being (sometimes overly) thorough and empathic, not settling for less.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair/eyes, kindness, and goofiness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy both fiction/non-fiction, especially anthologies, self-help/historical books, and any type of poetry. F. Scott Fitzgerald, Toni Morrison, and Viktor Frankl are some of my all time favorites. Anything by Rumi is golden-gets me every time. My grandma also got me hooked on The Sun magazine. Given my job, I continually read research articles on the topics of childhood development, learning processes/techniques, psychological/developmental disorders, etc.

Simply, I love listening to music and discovering new artists. I often listen to music at home. I typically listen to any variation or combination of folk, rock, indie, soul, funk, blues, oldies and classical musical. Generally speaking, I'm not a huge fan of country, rap, or hip hop. I'm also listening to podcasts more and more nowadays. Now that I don't live 5+ hours away from any major city, I hope to see more shows!

I like watching movies when I have time to unwind, particularly dramas, comedies, documentaries, and foreign films. What About Bob is my all time favorite movie (who doesn't love Bill Murray?!). I don't watch much TV, but I do enjoy Parks and Rec, Game of Thrones, and Transparent. My all-time favorite show is Six Feet Under.

Fooood! Let's see. I guess I consider myself a pescatarian, primarily because I very rarely crave any type of red or white meat. I absolutely love indian, mexican, and thai food (nom, nom, nom). I definitely have a sweet tooth-it's hard for me to resist chocolate or ice cream. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I enjoy cooking for myself and others when I have the time...I can make an awesome stir fry/scramble.
Six things I could never do without
Gratitude, the beauty of nature, laughing, the love of my family and friends, personal expression, mobility of my body.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Human interactions, developmental trajectories-really anything related to psychology, the interconnectedness of all things, synchronicity, the cosmos, the human-nature/-music relationship, the neurological and environmental formation of associations, the influence/power of love, the state of our world and how to improve it (oh my!), the dynamics of mental health issues, the evolution of mankind...and all things really, how things take their form, the Gaia hypothesis, the beauty of expression, what food I'll be eating next, how much I could go for some chocolate or ice cream right about now, how to overcome insecurities and be more in the present moment, the context of traveling, aesthetic commonalities, the illusion of money, how to organize my life, ways to improve my physical health, my academic goals, the barriers to our education system, anything and everything related to social justice and cultural expectations. That I'm not my thoughts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, making a yummy dinner, watching movies, going out to a show, reading, or possibly writing reports for work. It really just depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrified of living an unlived life.

I'm a total sucker for cute animal videos, meh. It's kind of ridiculous.

What's really private anyway? I am a pretty honest, communicative person.
You should message me if
You are seeking to build more connections and friendships...and perhaps more. If you think we would have a lot to talk about and share similar interests. If you also don't know why you even created a profile because you believe that any form of relationship functions best and makes most sense when it forms organically.

Please, please DON'T message me if you're arrogant, conservative, you have half-naked selfies on your profile (gross), or all you have to say is, "Hi, what's up?" or "Hey, beautiful."

Just FYI, I can't see if you "liked" me, so message me if you're interested.
